this is why well trained runners could take 40 hours to finish something like hardrock 100.

发帖数: 1283 | 7 uphill is not a problem - the strongest will be the fastest. it's the
downhill that one needs to train for. and the best way to do it is to train
on such trails. there is no shortcut, just like everything else in running.
If I were you, though, I would pick redrock 40 over hellgate. at least you
don't have to worry about freezing to death.:)

11/26 redrock 40, 12/10 hellgate 100, do you think it is possible?
I think I am more used to cold than hot weather.
any resources to find local trails for training?

yourself as the true superman of our village!
You can ask your local trail running clubs about technical trails to run on.

发帖数: 819 | 16 for races like UTMB and hardrock with a lot of elevation change, i guess
hiking pole could be handy. but for races like western state or even
leadville, i think they are overkill.
