i don't think two handheld water bottles are enough for 10 miles interval.
even people like Krupicka have his pacers carry extra water for him. and he
has three pacers for the 2nd half of the race...

tend to think that hydration is overrated. One of them is a professor in
evolutionary biology so I think he knows what he's talkinga bout. There is
one guy who never drinks during his long runs. One time I did a 27 mile run
with him, and he didn't drink a single drop of water. Another time we did a
16-mile run together in 85+ and humid weather. I carried two bottles with me
, he had none, and refused to drink when I offered him water. He says he
used to run in Florida and have gotten used to drink very little in running.

't need to drink.
based on my observation, lots of DNF at leadville complain that they didn't
get enough support, the temperature might be ok, but sun burns on the high
attitude is tougher, remember, there is no tree thus no shade up there.

challenge, not something one should complain to race organizers.
