Ezeliel bread (aka sprouted grain bread or flourless bread) is available at
Trader Joe's. They are made from sprouted (发芽) whole grains (wheat, barley
, lentil). Overall nutrition composition is comparable to whole wheat bread
with slightly less carb and more protein. They have a dense and coarse
texture close to pumpernickel. I just tried it recently. With a smear of
Nutella, it tastes pretty good.

What is available in stores is wheat straw, the yellowish stuff you see on

两类区别于发酵和酿制过程的不同。Ale是千年古老的酿制方式，私人作坊就可运作，
其采用上面发酵(top-fermenting)，就是让酵母飘洒在灌里最上层，在暖热温度下，发
酵较快。Lager较现代大规模，酵母放在灌最底层，在凉爽温度下发酵(bottom-
fermenting)，用的时间也就相对长，几个月时间。
ALE

美国和欧洲白人里面有近1%左右的人有小麦过敏症，8大过敏源的一个主要源头。症状
就是拉肚子，营养不良，神经衰弱，甚至得癌症等等，没法治愈，只能吃gluten free的东西
专家的说法这个和儿童自闭症也有关系，还和糖尿病有联系，有一些关系，但是不是
significant。
市面上的gluten free就是贵的代名词，一半比小麦制品贵1倍左右，因为制作难度大一
些，规定严格。基本上成熟的gluten free产品是用米做的，也有少量别的粮食作物，

peanut crunch biscuits
1 cup wheat germ
3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup whole rolled oats
1 cup all natural crunchy peanut butter
3 tablespoons canola oil (or your favorite oil)
1 egg

preheat oven to 300F. adjust rack to the lower third of the oven.
Combine all ingredients together and mix well. on a lightly floured surface,

但是有RYE 的种子。 我们只知道WHEAT种子是猫草， 但不知道RYE是不是。 只要0.69
一磅，是散装零卖的。 就先买了一点。 回来到网上查查可不可以吃， 另外先种一点
， 看看家里的小祖宗们吃不吃。回来一查， RYE是猫草。 就放心了。 种的草这几天
也出来了， 小家伙们都吃得挺高兴的。 于是又到店里买了两磅多， 可以大量供应猫
草了！
当地有AGWAY 的也可以去看看。 但不一定每家AGWAY都有。 我去了两家店， 只有一家
有， 另一家只有TRI_RYE 种子， 而且是大袋装的，没有散装零卖的。 注意， TRI_

像也都是，我用过wheat的觉得盖味不够好，你将来可以慢慢换着多试几种
我记得arm&hammer有double duty，有multi－cat，还有一种什么，我觉得用起来都差
不多。有的砂是有香味的，有的没有香味，你最好找上面写着unscented的，不容易刺
激猫的呼吸道
去google image搜 arm&hammer litter，记下包装盒的样子，到店里去找就可以拉。。

别用clumping/clay猫砂，先用corn/wheat/pine之类的做的比较安全，比如新出的那个
lavender香味的world's best猫砂，我还没见过哪个小猫仔不爱用的，然后等大一点再
根据经济情况什么的换。
如果小猫实在太挑猫砂，有重新litter training的需要的话，可以先试用kitten
attract那个，也是clay做的，然后慢慢换成corn/wheat based。 |

我家大宝曾拉肚子两三个月（blood in soft/watery fecal, very stinky). 血检，fecal/urine examinations 都没问题。、一开始医生偏向于认为是IBD. 后来发现实际上是对corn, wheat gluten之类过敏。所以改成以主要是grain free food such as weruva， blue buffalo wildness grain free chicken recipe dry food， halo grain free dry food。 每天给些 Halo liv-a-littles treats， 偶尔撒些FortiFlora, Nu-Cat Liquid, GNC superfood complex premium formula powder 等等营养补品在她的食物上。 唯一不健康的是每天要喂她些friskies的海鲜味的can food (她很馋friskies). 但是坚决不敢喂她非海鲜味的friskies can food或是friskies treats,因为它们... 阅读全帖 |

不过我看电视剧House，MD很多年了，所以水平要比一般的兽医高很多
哈哈哈
说需要手术确诊。幸好换了食物后发现是原来对corn/wheat gluten 之类过敏。现在大
宝有时抢吃二宝的吹吹（里头有很多corn/wheat gluten 之类，没办法二宝就馋那个，
高级点的吹吹，二宝都不吃。三宝倒是什么都吃），大宝一吃一周内就会吐一两回。
所以我喂二宝的吹吹都要看着不让大宝吃。给大宝都是吃Halo chicken breast之类吹
吹.每两三周还种些新猫草。 |

里吸取不了什么营养，还有少量狗对corn过敏。所以好点的牌子的狗粮会号称是wheat

过来的，一来二去就熟悉了。罐头上的字是太小了，不过可以回来在网上查。没有以下
成分的应该就还可以了：
The word by-product in any form, such as meat by-product, or chicken by-
product.
Wheat gluten.
Any type of flour － wheat, rice, soy or corn flour. All bad.
Ground rice or brewers rice. 最好是grain free的。
BHA and BHT
更讲究的猫奴会研究罐头里具体蛋白啊碳水化合物啊，磷啊钠啊Omega3啊是多少，这些
罐头上就不写或者语焉不详了，一般公司网上会有资料可以查或者打电话可以问。版上
貌似不少这样的学院派，是本猫奴学习的榜样，不过离这个境界实在还差太远，不知道

vet问起吃什么，我说现在是purina puppy food和blue grain-free混在一起，准备以
后让他只吃grain-free。
然后vet就跟我说这个是个错误信息，一方面是人类现在提倡glutin-free，二是商家营
销手段，说什么wheat对狗狗健康有问题这个事情，科学上完全是没有依据的。
顺便提一下，我们去的是学校的vet teaching hospital，所以里面的vet基本不会坑爹
，而且大部分都是做科研的。
她又说，狗狗是一定想要carbohydrate的，没有grain，puppy food里也要加potato,
soybean之类的成分，这些反而不会whole wheat来的好。
她当时还给我说了4，5个puppy food的brand，说这几个公司是真心对小狗狗粮做过大
量研究的，比较可以信赖。因为我给我家小七purina，所以我只记住了purina是她说的
牌子之一。
哎。。。总之，我决定以后听vet的，这包blue吃完，以后就只吃purina了。 |

带了仟吉的水立方南瓜吐司和皇冠的超软至尊排包就是鲜奶排包了。美国这边的吐司都
没有国内这种甜吐司做得好吃的。
热干面的话，碱面的确可以用意面代替，但是主要要买用semolina wheat做的pasta，
这是最硬质durum wheat粗磨作出来的面，很有嚼劲，当然，前提是你不能煮太久。碱
面煮久了也会显得很发肥松软。我觉得带那个芝麻酱包就可以了，油包菜包可以不要。
这个是大汉口牌子的。
建议带蔡林记牌子的，蔡林记的芝麻酱包是黑芝麻，味更浓，大汉口的是白芝麻，跟平
