looking at the role of biological and psychological factors in its
development. Some theories suggest that a history of abuse or neglect as a
child, or a history of frequent illnesses that required hospitalization
might be factors in the development of the syndrome. Researchers are also
studying a possible link to personality disorders, which are common in
people with Munchausen syndrome.

Barre Syndrome. Theoretically exogenous gangliosides can neutralize these
antibodies. But gangliosides have never gone through strict clinical trials
in the treatment of Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Actually I didn't know
gangliosides were used this way. It is also debated whether exogenous
ganglioside exposure can cause Guillain-Barre Syndrome but there has not
been enough data to make a conclusion.

能找到适合他的治疗方案。
我们在孩子确诊这件事上非常苦恼。在Swedish看的医生，开始认为是Sandifer，他觉
得孩子开始的症状很像Sandifer， 我们做了一些Research，也觉得像，在医生的建议
下孩子做了胃镜，没有看到任何Reflux，医生就否定了Sandifer， 他说可以先按抽动
症治 （因为孩子有过短暂的类似抽动的眨眼，突然晃头的症状），如果药物对孩子有
效，说明一定是抽动症，如果没效，也不能说明不是。于是我们到Seattle Children's
看了另外一个神经科医生，那个医生说肯定是抽动症，于是就按抽动症治疗，没有看
到任何效果。 随着病情发展，孩子说感觉有reflux，于是又做了胃部检查，查出有轻
微reflux，但这时其实我们也不知道是他的抽动导致了Reflux， 还是 Reflux导致了抽
动。
从我们家长对孩子的观察和跟医生的交流，我们觉得Swedish的医生的判断更符合孩子

搜了一下，这老美太牛了，太佩服了，这么危险，非要生5个孩子啊，第二个孩子30周

如果和他说的这个cutoff比起来，我这个1/220挺低的，但问题是我在网上查了一溜圈
，没有这么低的cutoff. 好像1/250比较通用些。那我这个1/220 就挺高的了，而且我
的PAPP-A a lot lower than median, and HCG a lot higher than median, 这两个指
标也不好，再加上一把年纪， 现在开始担心了。。。
请问羊穿的流产概率到底是多少？网上有说1/100， 也有说1/300的，大家的医生都是
怎么说的？ 我的大夫说是1/100， 倾向于不做羊穿。
我打算等15周后的第二次唐筛结果，如果没有什么显著进步，就准备羊穿了。但是，娃

Mostly like because mm below 35 are not classified as high-risk by default,
many people don't do down-syndrome screening like my friend. The average MM
with down-syndrome baby was ~24 for similar reasons.
There is a table of the risk of down syndrome and other genetic diseases.
For 16 years old girl, it's 1:10000; for 40 years old, it's about 1:200 (don
't quote me, i can't remember the number exactly). however, the risk
increase fast from 30 to 40. however, that's just average...statistics.... |

希望对以后的姐妹有用。
10:00 AM, Check in, 递上保险卡, 驾驶证, 她们将保险卡复印, 驾驶证 只瞄了一下
确定是我本人. 填表, medical history 及其它一些乱七八糟只需要签名的表格, 我也
没仔细看就哗哗哗签了, 不签不行呀.
10:05 AM, meet with genetic counselor, 谈了有四十多分钟, 基本上就是知识普及
和问答. Genetic counselor 很和蔼, 一开始仔细介绍了一些相关知识, 然后将我们双
方的父母, 兄弟姐妹问了个遍, 最后开始分析我的情况, 我也赶紧问了一下我关心的问
题.
1. 我的blood test结果down syndrome (1:98)超过正常值(1:154), 只是说明有
不到1%的机会是, 需要做进一步检查.
2. 大B超查出down syndrome的机率是一半一半, 就是说如果大B超结果一切正常
, 机会就减到1:196.

trimester screening 是准确率最高的，96%，全称叫fully integrated screening 。
只验血不做NT叫做serum integrated screening, 88%。

1. 由于第一次生产，所以没经验，因此第一个ob怎么说都照做。后来发觉他越来越不
负责就换了另一个ob，新ob查看我的record说没有down syndrome检查报告，随即打电
话去前ob处confirm（我一直以为已经做了，因为前ob一直说宝宝很健康，发育也很好
。4个月时曾经大出血，还询问ob会不会影响baby大脑，会不会造成down syndrome，他
说没down syndrome，而且这个是基因的和出血没关系）得到的答案是：护士问过我，
我的保险不cover，需要自己支付6000刀，所以我告诉她我不查了。。。晕死！从头到
尾就没人问过我，而且后来询问我的保险，他们说是80％全cover。
现在很担心baby有什么问题，即使有也晚了，毕竟已经34周了。请问这种情况可以怎么
解决？这个烂ob不仅不负责，还张嘴说谎，实在咽不下这口气！
2. 每次去做ultrasound都会在前台付$30，说是co－pay，可是后来查卡的消费纪录显
示的是$95。我打电话问为什么，他们说因为有我卡信息，所以就把剩下的65收了。解

不用中文，图书馆里娃的几千本课外书也不是中文的。跟医生都不一定能说
多少中文医学名词。。。这里中文主要是日常对话，大伙儿吃饭聊天也貌似
不太用 “抽象” 这种形而上的词语吧。。。当然，小资另说。。。
最大的问题是术语是个发展的东西，比如娃问 Down Syndrome 会不会遗传，
结果找出来一堆 trysomy 21 / translocation Down syndrome /
mosaic Down syndrome 等等等等。。。还不算更术语点的
Robertsonian translocation 啥的 。。。我不知道大家碰到这种情况
怎么办，是把术语全用翻译成中文记忆，说的时候翻译回去，还是干脆全改
成英文记忆？ |

的自闭症不用问医生自己也会知道。Asperger syndrome就算有，孩子也可以正常生活

包括自闭症，但是还包括比如Asperger syndrome。也就是说Asperger syndrome属于
ASD，但是不是自闭症。自闭症必然包括语言发展迟缓。楼主似乎不属于这种情况，因
此应该不属于自闭症，哪怕是高功的，顶多是Asperger syndrome. |

savant syndrome 方向大踏步前进。。。尤其是我这种数字男，一不小心就染上
savant syndrome 是钢钢的风险。。。
当然另一方面，我也不赞成楼主要求自家娃去剪草。。。娃都这么大了，如果没有
savant syndrome，将来一定是船到桥头自然直。到时娃一定自己会干；就算不会干，
娃自己当场学会一样能干，父母根本不用担心。。。否则的话，没有金刚钻也真别揽瓷
器活，打电话付小钱让 Amigo 干是正道。冒去急诊室的风险，哪怕就是一点点风险，
那也太不值得了。

螃蟹效应，在US, 称“Crab Bucket Syndrome”或“Crab Syndrome”。描述的是，用
敞口藤篮来装螃蟹，一只螃蟹很容易爬出来。多装几只后，就没有一只能爬出来了。不
为别的，相互扯后腿的结果。
在国内，大家习惯于用“螃蟹效应”来描述一个行业/公司的人际。“他们不喜欢看到
别人的成就与杰出表现，更怕别人超越自己，因而天天想尽办法破坏与打压他人。如果
一个组织受制于这种人，久而久之，工作单位里只剩下一群互相牵制、毫无生产力的螃
蟹。”
飞皮听说Crab Bucket Syndrome，最开始却是老美们拿来形容不良的夫妻和朋友关系的
。“如果你最亲近的人习惯于打击你，贬低你；在他们面前，你看不到自己的价值，无

新的PUSD学区委员上台之后，总体来说还是比较积极主动与家长进行交流的。在1月5日
举行了一次学区特殊会议，征求公众意见，在会议上SDAAFE继续在学区会议上发言，要
求学区成立一个专门的调查委员会，专门调查iPAD教学的好处与坏处，并提供家长选择
权：可以不让孩子参与iPAD教学。这也将是SDAAFE在该项目的主要目标。
PUSD学区委员普遍接纳了这个建议，并在1月20日的学区会议上，把成立这样的一个调
查委员会作为一个专门的议题来讨论，但是遭到了现任superintendent Dr. Collins的
强烈反对，理由是学区委员没有成立这样的委员会的权利。
因此，学区在1月26日再次召开特殊的学区会议，从policy开始讨论起，即先讨论应该
怎样成立这样的委员会。等把这一步流程理顺之后，再决定成立什么样的委员会。
由于Dr. Collins的杯葛，并且他在2014年初的时候与当时的学区委员一起签署了三年
连任的合同，预计在2016年之前，这个问题仍将是一场艰苦的拉锯战。

starch，从5月中开始到今天晚上之前就吃了一次鸡汤泡米饭，也只是1/2cup。我的问
题是low-carb diet对mood有没有影响呢。
今天早上起床后，非常想吃一碗cereal，非常想。还是没有吃，觉得不能随便让步。整
天情绪都很差，看老公不顺眼，不想打开latex写论文，也读不下论文去，自己的也读
不下去，经典的也读不下去。在网上看看有关PMS的书，怀疑就像刀刀说的是post
menstrual syndrome。我知道自己的pre-menstrual syndrome，哪一天要是忽然早上就
吃了lunch那就是了，会非常注意适度的满足食欲上的要求来稳定情绪。我从来没注意
是不是有post menstrual syndrome，怀疑是不是low carb diet引发情绪。
恳请大家分享一下经验，给一些建议和意见。（我之前因为winter depression都没有
办法把自己拉到gym里去，退一万步在家练也没有办法开始，非常可怕的一个体验，希
望永远也不要在发生。）

其中第三种一般是治疗小孩长不高。成人可能有，但是可能性极小。鄙人恰好有个朋友
的孩子是第三种情况，据她说，孩子吃剩的药，许多运动员会高价买。
这三种情况都是比较严重的疾病，要找专科医生。一般都不会找一个anti-aging
clinic。
大白菜承认老婆是这个clinic的客户，但是迄今没有否认老婆收到HGH。这很有意思，
因为按照他"complete garbage"的all out blitz口气来看，如果我是他，我会进攻（否
认老婆收到HGH），而不会让步（承认老婆是这个clinic的client） |

螃蟹效应，在US, 称“Crab Bucket Syndrome”或“Crab Syndrome”。描述的是，用
敞口藤篮来装螃蟹，一只螃蟹很容易爬出来。多装几只后，就没有一只能爬出来了。不
为别的，相互扯后腿的结果。
在国内，大家习惯于用“螃蟹效应”来描述一个行业/公司的人际。“他们不喜欢看到
别人的成就与杰出表现，更怕别人超越自己，因而天天想尽办法破坏与打压他人。如果
一个组织受制于这种人，久而久之，工作单位里只剩下一群互相牵制、毫无生产力的螃
蟹。”
飞皮听说Crab Bucket Syndrome，最开始却是老美们拿来形容不良的夫妻和朋友关系的
。“如果你最亲近的人习惯于打击你，贬低你；在他们面前，你看不到自己的价值，无
法平稳地实施自我发展，他/她们就是所谓的crab。他们的所作所为对你来说就是
destructive的。”

Runners knee, Plantar fascitis, ITBS, Splint Shin, etc, 這些按照, 都可以繼續按
照原計劃參加馬拉松比賽，run through without problem
但是pulled muscles, stress fracture 就是 game over了
我現在不知道Achilles Tendonitis 和 Piriformis syndrome是否可以。
我看了Piriformis syndrome 有一種可能的原因是肌肉和筋腱受傷（斷裂？），那就慘
了。俺的狀
況不明，不過自從今年2，3月出現這個Piriformis Syndrome, 居然現在都沒有好，昨
天short
tempo以後，今天foam roller上面感覺都是脹的。 |

Up to half of regular runners report an injury each year. Some injuries
are traumatic, but most are due to overuse and many of these involve the
knee. The most common diagnoses include: patellofemoral pain syndrome,
medial tibial stress syndrome (ie, “shin splints”), Achilles tendinopathy,
iliotibial band syndrome, plantar fasciitis, and stress fractures of the
