crashes.
1. On a slow ride, a new girl crashed and was knocked unconscious. She was
drinking water with one hand on the handlebar and couldn't maneuver around
an obstacle.
Lesson: When you drink, make sure that there are no turns coming up, no bad
road condition ahead, etc. If you HAVE to drink in those conditions, then
pay attention to the road, NOT the bottle.

tape was not enough (at least for me). The flat section used up a lot. Yes,
I was trying to match up the drop bar to the saddle nose color but also I
ran out of the black bar tape for the first time. |

bounce off bikes, I need to get a folding bike to ensure I can go to work
on time. So I got a Dahon Boardwalk S1, chopped off the handlebars, put on
a 3T 4GXL stem, and bullhorn bars. I can constantly pass roadies on this
set up. :) |

a nice bike rental at the expo. But I have noticed a few differences
between the triathlon bike and the ordinary road bikes -- there is no drop
on the handlebar, for instance. Is there something I need to pay attention
to on the triathlon bike? I will only be practicing on it the day before the
race. |

largely came from a lowered shoulder and chin -- my neck got stronger over
the past year so I can hold the chin-low-and-out posture longer.
Also, the Bell helmet has a much lower profile than the LG.
I will see when I start the TT season.

one, get the windsor tourist, smallest size. it's a good buy, problem is you
don't know how well it fits. standover might be too much.
two, get a mountain bike, swap out knobby tires for narrow slick tires, and
if the need arises, swap out the flat bar for something offering more hand

t want to use a larger frame with a long head tube, which would prevent them
from getting low, correct? Presumably, using a larger frame, instead of a smaller frame plus a long stem, would improve the overall stiffness of the bike. So they are trading off stiffness for a better riding position? |
