track assistant professor
1. 一个老中，拿了两个PHD（国内一个，北美一个），现在在美国之外的一个还不错的
学校做research professor，年龄40出头了，做的方向跟面试的方向的match度比后面
两个要差些。
2. 一个老印，现在在一个排名一百开外的学校第三年postdoc，phd也是在美国一个排
名一百开外的学校读的，现在做的好像还不错，有一个best paper award，有几个co-
pi的grant，老板在本领域有点名气
3. 一个老中，fresh phd还没有defend，但毕业论文什么的都弄完了，随时可以defend

的我都申了。因为我申请开始的有些晚，只找到了20多个相关的job posts。我想今年
秋季再申请的时候，只要有Master program的我就会申请。
可能我做的方向跟您想象的不太一样。我博士和第一个博士后的方向都是比较阳春白雪
的方向，有这些方向的基本都是top30的学校。因为很fundamental并且实验花费很高，
排名30名之后的学校大概不会考虑hire这个方向的faculty。也是因为这个原因，我第
二个post-doc选择了工程类的，虽然我现在做的方向在工程里也算比较fundamental的
了，但毕竟有了比较广的可以延拓的方向。

，声明NIH一向支持基础研究从来没有变改过，并把CRISPR 技术的进展作为一个基础研
究成功的例子。说他们注意到了很多所里的基础研究项目明显的减少了。但是他们坚持
说这些减少是因为往那些所投的基础研究项目变少了。他们为了鼓励纯基础研究，准备
简化一些文档，不再强迫研究者们写他们的研究到底和public health 有什么直接关系

但是他们没有明说的一点是，投入基础研究的资金会不会改变。

近十年了，这说明这决不是单单的投机炒作，而是 fundamental 的。作为投资者

Japan's fundamentals are much better than those of US. They don't owe
foreign nations trillions of Dollars. The average Japanese citizens do
not have debt piled up to their eye balls. They have a production-driven
economy instead of a fatal consumption-driven one like that of US.
If a bad policy cost Japan two lost decades, how much damage the same bad
policy will produce in US whose fundamentals are much worse? |

to have a concrete understanding the business model of the company.
However, detecting book cooking just from the financial statement
itself and monetizing it is extremely difficult. Try a few current
cases and you may realize you can raise many questions but no answers
are disclosed. My 2c is that identifying a primary investable trend for
an industry gives most bang of the bunk from fundamental analysis |
