if i make or not make IRA contribution, fed tax shows a difference.
But not MA state tax.

contribution很花费时间，老魔的追求是大道，而不是什么虚无的original
contribution。我觉得Tardigrades一定能给你更多老魔发明的实例。人家看书那才认
真。 |

书上F9-59说contribution revenue应该是amount transferred - fair value due/
purchase,
但是FAR模拟题第二套里面的题目说用gross revenue，fair value purchase算fund
raising expense,到底哪个对呢？
题目见附件，哪位帮忙解释下，多谢啦 |

后面的第2，第3作者建议老板我们三个同时为equal contribution,但是authorship不
变，我还是第一。问题是基本都是我做的工作，譬如重大突破点什么的。如果我不同意
，他们肯定不能为equal contribution，但是这样会把他们得罪了。请问自己单独
first author和first author加上2个共同作者有什么区别？对我会有很大的影响吗？

match。
IRA是自己单独开的，与公司无关，LIMIT是5000/人。 |

consequences people have encountered by negelcting those constraints, and
the contribution to industry/academia using your improved appraoch...
in your research, mathematical optimization is just a tool (there are tons
of different optim tools to use). you do not need to focus on the tool
itslef. Formulating an optimzation problem and finding a suitable tool to
solve it is already important in engineering field. |

但我觉得好像大多数人都选defined contribution。
一则是比较flexible，如果以后要搬走直接带钱走人。tenure－track新AP毕竟还是有
一定可能换东家，不管是太牛还是太不牛，呵呵。

我在读计算机方面的博士，还有1年毕业了。我一直有打算把我博士期间编写的程序保
护起来，理论上除了发文章之外还想申请个专利。
导师已经同意对程序进行正式保护，大意是说，我们从xxx时候开始编写一个用于xxx的
程序。现在学校方面需要我们填写一个表格，很重要的一部分就是说每个人的贡献的百
分比。
程序从头到尾都是我自己编写的，我导师有在思路上指导和督促，但是没有看过程序。
几个月之后，我打算对我们的理论成果申请专利，我导师比较传统，一直表示中立，他
觉得发文章就够了。但是我觉得还是挺有必要的，毕竟只有好处没有坏处，学校方面也
有钱支持。专利申请表里，也要表明每个人的贡献百分比。理论方面我们是一起研究的
，我开始的想法多些，但他帮了我很多忙，贡献也不小。
所以我在这里发帖子就想问问大家，这两个contribution应该如何分配，怎么和导师商
量。他比较年轻，这方面经验也不多。我跟他关系不错，既不想因为这事儿影响感情，
又想尊重客观事实。。。

也见过两个老板个50%，两个学生0%
想一想，如果没有你老板，你这个work有没有可能做得出来，从专利角度来说，谁写的
code一点关系也没有，你只是pair of hands，谁写的code可以拿一作，但是不能拿
inventor，IP看的是intellectual contribution
另外就是，千万别指望你这个能拿多少钱，心态要摆正，像你说的关系也不好搞僵，想
一想到底也没有可能大公司花几个million买你的东西，还是他们自己coder花几周几个
月就能搞定 |
