Another Prop. 8 Delay

The California supreme court Wednesday announced it would hear arguments as
to whether marriage-equality opponents have standing to defend Proposition 8
in court when state officials refused to do so.
The court's move will further delay ultimate resolution of the case, now on
appeal before the U.S. court of appeals for the ninth circuit.

be televised live in September, according to a California Supreme Court
spokeswoman.

现在的形势和08年prop 8通过的时候相比就不可同日而语了。
那时候算上加州自己也只有两个州合法，现在多了五个州合法。
按现在打官司的速度，打上高院至少还得一两年吧。

），携手演出一部同志题材的舞台剧《第八号提案》（Prop 8），这出戏今天起在洛杉
矶首演。
《第八号提案》指的就是加州在2008年11月通过的公投案，它禁止同志婚姻，舞台
剧以此为题材，由奥斯卡得奖编剧布雷克（Dustin Lance Black）执笔。
毕必特饰演法官Vaughn R. Walker，他在作了有利于同性恋婚姻合法化的判决之后
，被人发现他原来也是个同志，故事就在冲突和争议中发展。克卢尼则扮演支持同性恋
婚姻的律师。
除了毕必特和克卢尼，还有好几个大明星都轧上一角。克里斯丁拉迪（Christine
Lahti）与资深女星杰米李柯蒂斯（Jamie Lee Curtis）演出“蕾丝边”女同性恋者，
马修莫里森（Matthew Morrison）与麦特鲍莫尔（Matt Bomer）则是男同性恋者，其他

虽然有可能case 被delay，不过至少９０％的可能是review被deny拉。最迟下周会公布
deny 的case list。

如果不受理，下周一就会发出来。Prop 8应该在下周一的list里，等下周一最终确认吧。
据分析，现在有好几个挑战DOMA的案子。
最高法院应该是准备受理DOMA的案子，毕竟DOMA才是管着全国的。 |

上個星期的新聞，金斯堡在科羅拉多大學演講的時候，
被問及高院是否會審理DOMA是否違憲的案子，
金斯堡說我不能回答這個問題，
不過在本年度 （10/2012-06/2013），
挑戰DOMA違憲的案件就會抵達高院。

marriage" is defined. Marriage by widely accepted definition is between a
man and a woman.
Gay people are never denied the right to get married, as long as they marry
to an opposite sex. They opted out because of their choice of life style
. NO ONE is taking their rights away.
Now it is the gay rights group who's trying to force their value upon the
general public by re-defining "marriage".

烂区正好相反
弯曲来说，别说city里面了，就南湾，周末走走了palo alto，atherton附近，看到很
多no on 8的牌子，没看到一个yes的
反而，在sanjose烂区，capitol expressway附近，貌似看到了一些yes的牌子，当然大
多数是no的牌子
sandiego来说，miramesa这种烂区，看到一些yes的牌子，lajolla里，真的一个都没见
到，反倒很多no的牌子
说明啥呢，可能智商和open-mindness的程度和挣钱能力是成正比的，恩。。。 |

at least give adults some time to absorb the new regulation, before you run
promotions to 7 year olds.
school age kids listens to everything teacher said. every adult will recall
the same thing when they were at school. some teachers' agreesive move
scared many parents. a big percentage of those parents were definitely
supporting gay marriage before they knew what teachers did.

交的这两个tax就重了。
最严重的是这两个tax是不稳定的，而政府的budget是按照当年的收入做的。举个例子
，假设2005年
收入好了，马上budget就上去了，一堆乱花钱的议案就通过了，因为钱不是问题了。那
2006年经济不
好，这两个tax收不上来怎么办呢？那就热闹了，议会吵架，budget上玩文字游戏，发
bond,
向municipal要钱，总之只要不cut spending就行，没准明年又有钱了。。。
其他州rely on property tax就稳定多了，不会胡花钱 |

问题是如果取消prop 13,房价还要暴跌，加州会有更多失业，危机,等等等等
所以知道问题和离解决问题是两码事 |

130B,那二年budget就会按照130B来做，议员提的花钱的议案不会有太大阻力，因为钱

少从这一年的收入来看。然后第二年经济危机，收入是70B,已经开的program不会轻易
砍掉，也就是
说，第三年budget绝不可能是70B,因为那个议员也不愿意自己的program被砍，而是政
府想尽花活来
保证花销，结果就造成deficit了，这就是加州财政危机的来源。
如果主要收入是property tax, 这5年收入很稳定的保持在100B,那议员想提花钱的议案
，大家就要
问了，就这么多钱，你从哪里来钱？ |
