因为对陪审团的预期是他们的智力和知识水平都一般，所以法官给陪审团在闭门讨论时

Dealership其实最不喜欢和一种人做生意，就是那些冲到dealership里，毫无根据和底线乱砍价的buyer。而事实上，dealership是接受一切justified reasons，关键在于你有没有这些justified reasons，而且是不是能够在合适的场合用合适的方式表达出来。
记得我和最后买车那个dealership的sales manager有过一段有趣的对话。我说dealership最喜欢和两种人做生意，一种人是对市场一点都不了解，对价格和想要买什么车没有sense。这种deal，take的时间会长些，但利润很高；一种是对市场有所了解，对价格和喜欢什么车有点感觉，但对hassle没有兴趣。这种deal利润的变数其实很大，但时间会很短，尤其是当有些时候cases很多的时候，sales manager会比较喜欢这样的buyer。但dealership应该不喜欢和我这样的人做买卖。他笑笑说，其实dealership还愿意和一种是对游戏规则很了解，而且擅长negotiating的人做生意。这种deal利润相对比较低，而且没准花的时间也不 |

刚刚从Superior Court回来，觉得这个经历很有意思，值得跟大家分享和总结一下。
先说我的case，最后会给大家总结步骤性的对策。
加州，11月，黄灯和红灯交接时候，右转，没有full stop, 被拍。当时想要是ticket
来了一定跟它argue。因为我以前见过一个人在那个intersection被拍，那个人直接傻
了，停在路中间不知道自己为什么被闪，我也傻了，因为在那个intersection, 我见过
N多人红灯右转不停没有被拍，为什么他被拍？
Anyway, 12月拿到traffic violation notice. 有4张照片，有驾车人的正面照片，车
牌号等。另附车速等信息。这不是ticekt, 只是问这个人是不是你。
照片很清楚（表情还不错，哈~），本人也比较实诚，所以我回信说是我。
然后ticket就来了，$486, traffic school 再另加$54。除了用S甚至F word骂破产的

刚刚从Superior Court回来，觉得这个经历很有意思，值得跟大家分享和总结一下。
先说我的case，最后会给大家总结步骤性的对策。
加州，11月，黄灯和红灯交接时候，右转，没有full stop, 被拍。当时想要是ticket
来了一定跟它argue。因为我以前见过一个人在那个intersection被拍，那个人直接傻
了，停在路中间不知道自己为什么被闪，我也傻了，因为在那个intersection, 我见过
N多人红灯右转不停没有被拍，为什么他被拍？
Anyway, 12月拿到traffic violation notice. 有4张照片，有驾车人的正面照片，车
牌号等。另附车速等信息。这不是ticekt, 只是问这个人是不是你。
照片很清楚（表情还不错，哈~），本人也比较实诚，所以我回信说是我。
然后ticket就来了，$486, traffic school 再另加$54。除了用S甚至F word骂破产的

当然用车和其他expenses抵税很重要一点是你要有足够的business revenue，以及能
justify为什么你要用（豪）车。像前面说的Porsche 911就过了，很难justify。 |

我估计顶配lx570和lc是一样的，但是我们不知道的是，他们的齿比是多少？
是不是都有前叉，后叉和中叉。
我保证lc是一定有的。
但是lx570我只看到了底盘升降，悬挂选择。没有注意到这三把关键的锁。
搜索了一下： 貌似lc200有kdss，这个对越野和刹车时候的姿态应该都有帮助。lc200
是进口车，主要针对中东地区（isis？）车体设计就是25年没有大问题，及其的可靠。
进口到美国的应该是顶配（可能不是最顶）。lx570是豪华皮座版本lc，但是可能有些
四驱必须的东西没有。明白人给说说。我认为下面评论不对，both lx and gx have
the KDSS
还有gx460，我认为就是美国版本霸道v8.国内叫普拉多，和4r是兄弟。

车有被paint过，但是我是新买才一年，之后跟dealer扯皮了半天。 故事分享出来，一
来吐槽下，二来也给其他买新车的提个醒吧。
大概一两年前在西雅图的MB dealer买的车，大概快6万刀吧，一年后出了起小的车祸，
拿去body shop修时却被告知我的车的hood明显被重新喷漆过，而且是very low
quality, painting一般有好几层，最后几道工序基本就是没做。Bodyshop的人说，很
有可能是shipping途中出的问题，应该只是小的scratch，碎石什么，但是很诧异为什
么没有被好好修就卖到了顾客手上。 但是，如果不是行业人士，不经指点，确实很难
看出来，外行人一般看就是颜色，没有明显的刮痕就OK了，但事实上经过指点，仔细看
，很明显很多地方漆都没喷好，各种痕迹都有，还有一些残留的渣滓，碎料在一些边边
角角那。
于是我就去dealer去问，他们首先承认这个painting job was done poorly。 大概快1

一般postdoc在current lab申请，别人会问，你在同一lab里再呆两年能有什么新的
training？一般到会再另外一个或多个
lab找co-mentor来justify additional training。
如果你要去新lab，刚好可以justify additional training。你要尽量确保：1，两个
lab技术不同但要focus on相同领
域，2，足够的preliminary data。 |

of the things you request, but not necessarily everything.
salary: definitely try to ask for 10% more. that's what i got.
health insurance and retirement benefits: standard, check HR website, not
negotiable
start-up: you want to justify your request carefully
moving expenses: this is negotiable, but ask only as much as you really need
