better chance than mailing in your plea.
It's possible that the court wont take a personal check if you go
there. Bring cash is safer.
The prosecutor will talk to you first, ask if you want to plea

can talk to the clerk, who takes payment from those who plea
guilty without a fight. If you need to change the trial date,
she is also the person you need to talk to.
You can talk to the clerk about this, before the trial date, which
should be somewhere on your ticket.
Sure. But most people would just plea bargain (negotiate with the
prosecutor without talking to the witness -- cop). You might not see
a real trial. |

Actually they process you like a slaughtered chicken. They want to
process you as fast as possible to make easy money (my feeling), so the
prosecutor would lay out all the options to you and let you choose. If
you agree to take any of them, everything goes smoothly. If you don't like

时候就不能过。因为闪灯很明显，所以我一直认为只要注意闪灯就行了。
但是我觉得那天校车确实没有闪灯，我看过校车闪着灯停下来，是非常明显的。当时还
是晚上，如果校车闪灯了不可能车里两个人都没有看到。不过无论如何我确实超了一辆
停着的校车，如果一定要罚款suspend驾照我就认了。
我的ticket上没有写罚款什么的，只写了我在某天mandatory to appear at court。这
是我第一张ticket，没什么经验。如果我认了，我那天是应该直接去plead guilty就行
了吗？需要找个律师吗？如果我plead not guilty但是输了，Penalty会更严重一些？ |

事情是这样的。
我在7月29日那天在Virginia州得了一张超速单，上面没有具体罚款数额，只记着84/70
，并有一个Reckless driving的记录，以及要求我必须在9月的某一天接受法庭的传唤。
我得到这个超速单时的情景是这样的：
当时是上午9点左右，天气晴朗。我驾车向南去Florida, 行驶在I-95的最内道。那段路
是单向三车道，限速是70miles/h。在我前方的最外道有两辆大货运卡车。当我正在超过
它们时，后面的一辆货车突然变道至中间车道上且加速超过了我的车，使得我不得不和
它并行。我不想与它并行，于是也加速直至超过了它，随后便变道至中间道上在其前方
行使，当我超过它后，便将速度减到了75miles/h。说实话，我是在超过了它后才注意
到我的车速超过了80，而在超车的过程中，我全神贯注地注意着它的行车行为，根本没
有注意到我的车速过了80。
遗憾的是，就在我刚刚超过它的那一刻，我注意到了我的左手边的隔离带上停着一辆警
车。后来，那辆警车不紧不慢地追上了我，我被逮捕了，并得到了那张单子。

这个reckless driving在VA不是misdemeanor就是felony，估计楼主是felony。如果你
认罪，可能要蹲监狱的，所以要找律师把案子dismissed了或者减轻到级别低一点的
misdemeanor，当然这个肯定已经有记录了，即使是dismissed了也会有逮捕记录的。 |

过后视镜看见警车来了。确定警车是在跟着我的车后，我就在旁边紧急停下来了。被开
了罚单，说我开了79mph，限速65mph。我一点都没意识到我超速了，因为一直跟着前面
的车。唉，倒霉。
罚单上没写必须要出庭，交罚款就行，但我自己想出庭跟法官求求情要求少罚点儿，把
点都消了之类的，省得涨保险费.不知道可行不？
后天就要出庭了，到底要不得承认自己guilty呢？承认自己guilty了还能求情要求少罚
点儿吗？谢谢大侠们指点。 |

险公司的决定让一方或者双方都不满意，两人才会上court---这是我的经验. 你这第一
