editor原话是 your manuscript could be reconsidered for publication if you
are prepared to make revisions based on the comments of the reviewers
两个reviewer，reviewer 1 给的comments都很中肯，甚至有表扬在里面，基本我都可
以接纳并按照它去改，可以推断给的最终意见是accept with revision
reviewer 2 从头到尾都在扁这个稿子，说出了 this manuscript does not make
contribution to the literature and the literature review does not show that
this manuscript fills a gap这样的话，并且最后说 I suggest the authors fix

要给handling editor 写信或者editoral office写信才有效！
因为审稿人不是主编副主编邀请的，你想，一个期刊一年少说上百篇文章，多的几千篇
。平均一篇文章要邀请10来个审稿人才能收齐2~3份有效报告，你说这工作量是多么大
，是主编副主编干的活吗？
你给他们写信，顶多收到礼貌回复，好一点的会把你的信转给editoral office
你要给真正处理文章的编辑写信，他们才是处理文章、拿钱、干活的人。
建议想审稿的朋友们采取以下途径：
1.上面说的给handling editor 或者editoral office写信，具体而言就是你投文章时
，跟你联系的那些邮箱，他们才是真正干活的编辑的邮箱。或者在官网页面上找
managing editor或者assitant editor的邮箱。
2.直接去出版社的网站里面注册成为注册在案的审稿人。出版社会有一个审稿人库，收
到文章之后会首先从审稿人库里面通过关键词（注意关键词非常非常重要）寻找审稿人。

他一月初投了一个还不错的杂志的特刊，比截止日期晚五天。特刊有五个editor.这个
特刊注明五月底给第一轮答复，九月第二轮答复, 明年初发。我朋友从投稿的第三天到
七月初，网上状态都是with editor。他虽然觉得状态应该改为under review才对，可
是头一次投特刊，他以为是editor审稿或忘改网上状态，本着耐心的原则，他等到了六
月底，后来看到没回复，他发了信问其中一个美国的editor，那位editor很快回复让他
联系另一个负责的editor,他就给负责的editor发email,结果又一个月过去了，既无回
信（邮件地址检查过是对的），网上状态也依然是with editor. 他是一个新人，不知
道该怎么办了。明年初的contract renew这个文章估计也用不上了。想问问各位达人的

我的2封editor letters都是美国的, 一封是我给他们出版社2个期刊6年内审了25篇稿
件，我在要editor letter的时候特意强调了我的contribution，我估计editor都不好
意思拒绝我了。另外1封是老板的熟人，是个杂志的associate editor，就帮他们审了1
篇稿，结果我起草的信一个字都没有改。所以我觉得能要到editor的信，要么editor是
个好人，要么editor是个熟人，要么你的人品特别特别好~ |

我的第一反应是，既然editor没有out right reject，那说明还是有希望的，只是我以
前没有写过rebuttal，所以有点不知如何是好，这么说来，写rebuttal是可行的，各位
有写rebuttal而不是照着改，最后被接受的经验么？
我以前的经验是，全盘按着所有reviewers和editor的意见改了之后，（也是所谓major
revision），就收了，当然那些个editor写信的语气比较positive，也没有碰到过像
这次reviwer 2 这样给comment却不给任何explanation的
个人感觉editor没有太仔细看稿子，只是把reviewer的 comments挑了一些摆在那里重
申了一遍，所以editor重申reviewer2的comment，有的咋一看我都有点哭笑不得，因为
被重申的那个comment涉及到的方法，我用的是近些年新发展的改进的方法，已经被各
大权威source认可并运用了的，他们认为正确的是已经被改进方法取代的旧方法，但是

所以对于杂志Editor，自己的研究能力和学术水平不需要最高的，具有这样水平的专业

发帖数: 547 | 27 有篇文章，投出去以后两周之内就出结果了，是minor revision. 两个reviewer 评价
都挺高。我欣喜若狂，因为是top journal。 我照着修改意见改了又投出去，editor
回信通知说接收了。但是在送到journal 的 production department 之前要我做进一
步修改。我看了editor 的意见，大概意思有几个地方我没照着reviewer 的意见改，让
我再稍作改动。于是我解释了一个地方为啥没改，然后另外两个地方稍作改动第二天就
又投出去了。我想，既然已经接收了。第一遍修改虽然是minor revision,但是我下了
功夫的。这第二遍我虽然改动小， 但是我确实不知道再怎么改了。都已经接收了，
editor 不会难为我吧。
谁知道，这都过了快三个月了，还没有任何消息。我是不是得罪editor 了？editor 这
么容易得罪吗？我的确是改了，可能改的没有editor 期望的细致，但也不能过了几个
月没有消息啊？前两天发了email 问，也没回。

发帖数: 2992 | 29 只想指出，好杂志的editor不是从烂杂志的editor做起的。不一定要做到业内的名人，
但是你至少要有solid work，有让人一说出来都知道的一些个study projects。适当在
会议露脸，并且和主要杂志的editors即使没有私交也应该说起来知道你这个人。这种
情况下你做的editor才有意义。
只是混一个editor的头衔，尤其是业内主要lab都不怎么会投，或者不是首选而是被其
他都拒了才找你做backup的这种杂志，实在没有啥用（甚至还可能起反作用如果你的杂
志良莠都收的话；为了绿卡除外）。
先想想你当editor的目的是什么吧。只是为了大家认可为圈内人，最好的办法还是做些
实在的工作。到时候水到渠成被人要求当比较好。 |

发帖数: 518 | 30 这个我以前写过一个notepad，大概解释一下数据结构吧。
我用的是C#写的（C#的string跟Java的string一样，是immutable的）。
这个数据结构应该支持如下功能：
1、快速的string读取，写入，以及删除
2、快速的获得某一个字符所在的行列号
3、支持较多的redo、undo
对于第一点要求，传统的string肯定不行，因为每次对string的修改都会产生一个新的
string。StringBuilder也不行，虽然它支持O(1)的Append，但是对于插入和删除最快
的还是O(N)。
考虑到第二点要求，可以用一个改进版的StringBuilder。即，每一行用一个
StringBuilder，然后行与行之间用LinkedList串联起来。这样做是假设每一行字符的
长度不会太长（大概百来个的字符删除O(N)还是很快的），然后行数也不会太长，因为
我们用的LinkedList把行数串联起来，要获得某一行的行号，也是O(N)的操作。
这就是第一版的数据结构，用它就可以实现一个简单的text editor，支持编辑不是很大
的文本文档。

。但其实
这个assoicate editor只是挂名，也可能是充他们门面，没有实质功能，其实还是给他
们review文
章。另外，这个杂志竟然没有设editor。
如果是Associate Editor，又被Editoral assistant邀请 review paper，是不是不好
啊？
如果不好，干脆舍弃Associate Editor的证明，只说自己是reviewer算了？ |

IEEE的期刊就最好了。
问题如下：
当文章的reviwers都把审稿意见submit到了系统，文章的状态变为“await editor
decision”了。如果这个时候editor很忙来不及处理，结果就拖了下来。系统会每隔一
段时间提醒这个editor还有未处理的文章吗？如果不会，那么有没有可能这个editor最
终就忘记处理这个文章了? |

有太多的法律知识，也不能对案件有太多先入为主的信息，这样才可能保持中立和公正
。顶级的律师团唇枪舌剑，试图说服一堆大妈，来决定嫌疑人的生死和毁誉。
杂志的 editor 也是一样的。决定 journal 水准的，不是 editors，而是 reviewers
。一流的杂志可以请到一流的 reviewers 和在 editor 方面专业的 editors （对
journal 的定位和发展方向有清晰的理解，知道如何 socialize 来和给力的
reviewers 保持密切的关系，知道如何 balance the backgrounds of reviewers，知
道如何从矛盾的 reviewer comments 判断文章被接受后的利弊 -- 而这些恰恰经常是
学术上优秀的 researchers 所欠缺的），所以可以保证文章的质量。
中国传统上是法官判案制度，所以延伸到 journals 上来，才会有这种 editors 的学
