fixed period).”这个Lead Professional (LPB) career band在公司里是个什么情况
，不会是啥临时工职位吧，因为看工资后面括号里那句咋那么 |

level). don't worry about the non-gurantee part. it simply means the
position is "permanent", i.e., at-will employment (they can let go of you
any time, you can resign any time). |

但我就不清楚从现在到九月底这期间咋办了。如果你是普通的OPT，就算10月以前到期
，也可以以OPT-H1B GAP平稳过渡，但你是STEM-OPT，就。。。。
只要公司每催着你上班，就问题不大，否则，就要想别的出路。

是担心现在公司开始办，10月前能不能下的来。

发帖数: 5846 | 12 polymer专业，monster上看到的position info, 投简历过去，一周后收到电邮月时间电面，当时在外出差，约了5天后的一个周一，电面一周后发了onsite的邀请，onsite在电面后三周也就是离现在三周前，早上8点多到下午3点半7，8个人从一线研发人员到
site的头轮流谈话外加一个presentation,当时感觉不错，不过最后和HR的人面试的时
候对方说有6个人候选人来onsite，6选1，就没报太大希望了。没想到三周后居然给了
offer，总得感觉挺幸运的。

发帖数: 5846 | 14 还是幸运吧。onsite完给所有谈过话的人（都要了名片）都发了thank you letter,没
人回我，不过三周中基本每周都有联系，先是第一周时我去的那个group的一个小头发
信问我交了工作申请表没，说是没收到我onsite前fax过去的表，偶赶紧给人扫描了传
过去；第二周时一天hiring manager打电话来问我下午有没有空和他们另个部门的头谈
话，那次onsite那个头不在没能谈上话，说是还想和所有candidate聊聊，结果约了时
间等了一下午对方都没打过来，被放了鸽子，紧张兮兮的发信去问说是那个头那天超忙
没能打；第三周偶发现现在的老板也就是我的第一reference（一共给了三个reference
信息）出门要到月底才回来，我发信给对方HR说了这个情况，对方要我找个第四
reference。两天后就收到offer了。

LPB is just a Band name (level, rank) in GE. the Band system works like a
pyramid. the lowest level is PB (professional band) with the biggest
polulation, then LPB...SPB(senior)...EB (executive band)...SEB(senior
executive band)...A Phd usually starts from LPB.
Those Bands are linked to salary ranges.
