pronation is more of my definition of wrist-snap. My definition of pronation
is after the wrist-snap, your elbow stays up, wrist continue to extent
outward, and shoulder folds in a litter.
Under my definition, it's true that you have to snap your wrist if you have
a continental grip (hammer), but it is not necessary to pronate.

If you want to concentrate power, the general practice is to use fast
movement of wrist so that the shuttle will move fast. However, use fast
movement of wrist often results in only moving the wrist, not the rest of
the body. So it is harder to transfer the body power to the wrist.

like transfer of potentials rather than transfer of momentum. Use leg, turn
