missing plane at 9.50am 120 miles South West of Ca Mau cape, the Southern-
most point of Vietnam.

It was a deal to "loan" the island to Vietnam so they can use it against US
during the vietnam war. But China can't just lease the island to Vietnam
directly because China doesn't want be seen as intervening in the war
directly. It was an understanding that the island would be returned after
the war. However, it was a naive understanding. Furthermore, it was a
stupid decision to gave up on demanding its return. |

那些越战老兵不干了，一群老兵当着记者的面把警察设置的栏杆强行搬开，大摇大摆地
进去参观。那些全副武装，平时耀武扬威的警察别说掏枪，连上前拦一下都不敢，全部
退到十米以外凉快去了。要是巴马敢下令开枪，Fox News 头版来个“Vietnam war
veterans murdered right in front of the Vietnam war memorial.", 巴马那天晚上
能不能活着离开白宫还真是个问题。老兵在美国基本上是横着走，没办法，人家的话语
权是靠命换来的。

province of Yunnan to help alleviate a drought in parts of Southeast Asia,

故事一：
1900年闹义和团时期，清军神机营有个兵，名叫恩海（满洲正白旗），他开枪打死了当
时德国驻华大使克林德（Clemens Freiherr von Ketteler），打死克林德这个事是对
是错，我们在这里就不讨论，可是打死克林德之后，恩海贪图克林德的财物，他搜走了
克林德的一块银表，然后呢，恩海把这块银表当给了当时北京城的一家当铺，换钱用。
八国联军攻破北京之后，联军的侦探就开始查：当时是谁打死的德国公使克林德。怎么
查呢？就查这块表，结果从当铺找到了这块表，顺藤摸瓜，就逮住了恩海，这恩海倒也
是条汉子，敢做敢当，供认不讳，结果很快就被处决了。
故事二：
1931年6月，日本帝国有个军事间谍，名叫中村震太郎的，跑到东北的荒山野岭，测绘
军事地图，被当时张学良的东北军团垦三团逮住了，团垦三团就地处决了中村震太郎，
然后呢，团垦三团的将士贪图财物，将中村震太郎的手表摘了下来，当给了当铺。
后来日本帝国看这个中村震太郎，到北满去调查兵要地志，怎么就没有音讯了呢？于是

今天下午终于有时间锻炼锻炼身体，就和一个同事去海防医科大学打篮球。 投了
会儿篮，逐渐来了几个越南人，都是以前打球见过的，用越语，汉语或英语混杂打了招
呼。
不知什么时候来了个男孩，用英语问他多大，他回答十六岁，高中一年级，英语挺
不错，至少作为一个高中一年级的学生，比中国我见过的高一学生口语上好多了，至少
在口语上。
问我是不是韩国人，我说Chinese。 沉默了一下，突然他用英语说：“Vietnamese
usually not friendly with Chinese (越南人不太喜欢中国人)。
我一愣，以为自己听错了，哪有这么说的，就说了pardon，他重复道：Vietnamese

Trump's digs are a reference to Blumenthal's past misrepresentations about
his service during the Vietnam era. The senator admitted in 2010 to
misrepresenting his military service after saying he had been "in" Vietnam.
Blumenthal served in the Marine reserves in Washington, not Vietnam, during
the war.
"I have misspoken about my service, and I regret that, and I take full
