待组装的电话机放在传送带上，一条流水线大约２０个工人，把各种零件拼在一起变成
一部成品的固定电话，并包装装箱。 我的位置在流水线中部，我的工作是把一个零件
插进电话机里，然后用电烙铁焊三个地方，电烙铁大约２００摄氏度，一碰到塑料，塑
料就熔化，把塑料烫化就把零件固定住了。
每天上１０个小时班，组装大约５０００部电话机。 那个厂子很小，总共不到五十个
人，电话机的产量却如此之大，每天u组装五千部电话是什么概念？ 我怀疑它占到了
全世界固定电话机产量的１００％。
工作很简单，但要手疾眼快，几秒钟做完一部，操作很流利的话并不觉得太忙，我总是

的例子：被IVY歧视，有quota。殊不知那是因为早期犹太移民，特别东欧/南欧犹太后
裔被主流社会定义为：“clannish, socially unskilled and either unwilling or
unable to fit in". 一个世纪过去了，犹太移民早已今非昔比，各方面与主流接轨。
