transmission.But how about the 4th generation (2000 - 2007 yr) that all use 4-speed AX4N transmission and the 5th generation (>2007 yr) that all use 6-speed 6F transmission? Are they more reliable, comparing with both previous Taurus transmission and those transmission in the comparable Japaneses cars?

the 5-series is very unreliable, musch worse than the 3 series, which is
already below average in relibility. Yes, its fun to dirve them, but after 4
years and the car warranty is over, be sure to return it. Its not worth is.

my 2008 328xi wagon is having so much issues, i am in the process of trading
it in for a Japanese car. Luckily, the warranty is still here till next
month.
My battery died last week, it was not covered, it cost me almost $700 at the
end. The run-flat tires are wron out, it would cost me over $2K to replace
them. I only had about 35K miles on the car.
Then the eccentic shaft sensor died last week, causing the car not starting

the good:
- roomy, incredible space front and back seat, perfect for me (1.85m)
- high seating position.
- it's not extremely noisy on highway.
- that's it.
the bad:
- unreliable, I have replaced motor mounts, both control arms, front
bearing

速，等等因素都不尽相同，所以大家的期望值有很大的不同。
如果一个家庭主妇每天需要在小镇里开10英里去买菜，另一个家庭主妇只需要开3英里
去买菜但是需要另外开3英里去接送孩子，他们对汽车的安全要求是不同的。但是，很

至今为止两次在行驶过程中引擎动力不足熄火， 直接跳check engine 灯，无法启动，
roadside assistance 送回dealer维修， 加上刚买来的一次召回（相当于同样问题
进了三次dealer）， 问题全都出在direct fuel pump。
最近一次在开的过程中manual shift cable断了（低于2w mile）， 又直接拖回dealer。
刚给porsche north america发书面申请buy back， 事实证明任何所谓reliable的都只
具有统计学意义， 要是落到个人头上， 就是100%的unreliable。 |

2017 Pilot EXL AWD with sensing. I can tell you is its weight is ~4400 lbs
and it earned IIHS's safest car "Safety pick plus". The car is spacious,
smooth, comfortable, and very powerful. It has good mpg in V6 format. It's
fun to drive. The only thing I don't like is its FM tuner. I replace OE
headlight bulbs with HID. I bought mine with $3100 off MSRP.
