昨天很sad收到unmatched的信，今天刚才灰常高兴，拿到了pre和neurology的position
， 通过scrabmle，据说是在TX。。。牛的是这个FMG不知道申请神经要同时申请第一年的preliminary的，人根本就没申请preli，然后neurology的就2iv。。。

1 people.
Yes preliminary surgery training can open the door for some opportunities,
it's an invaluable experience, especially for people don't have much USCE.
For the unmatched AMGs, some took a preliminary surgery position if they
like surgical specialties. Others will stay in school for research or
clinical work, and reapply next year. |

have a chance. It's much worthy than doing externship, research,other
clinical works, or stay home.

with a lot of combinations. Unlike individual's ROL, the entries on couple
match's ROL can have duplicates. If both matched at the same position on the
list (for example, both matched at number 4 of the ROL), they matched.
Otherwise unmatched, even if one person matched at number 1, another matched
at number 5. This means they don't need to match at the same hospital, the

第一天有点儿没回过味儿。在第一时间难过又歉疚地报告失败结果给"mentor"，给
把我介绍到医院的"贵人"，以及给在医院跟着见习的attending。感谢每一个人都在
第一时间回信劝慰更是支持。感动之余，决定什么都不想了，先把试考完再说。
第二天还真做完了CD，并发信请教会兄弟姐妹帮助祷告。想想再调调状态，如期考
试也不是不可能。
第三天却反而糟了。满脑子的念头怎么也赶不走。试着做模拟题，却无论如何也没
办法集中精力。一套题时间过去了，题目只做完了一半，还是错误百出。推开试题
去看书，半天翻不过去一页。心中有苦说不出，还强忍着不肯改期考试，总想坚持
到最后一分钟。
第四天情况没有好转，换了衣服去操场跑了不知道多少圈，回家冲个凉，坐下来还
是不能专心。带孩子去购物，回家却发现买的东西留在购物车里了。甚至上网查找
acute adjustment disorder的治疗方法，考虑要不要找点儿精神药物来吃。
说起来那两天什么都想，还真想明白了些什么 : 我其实真的是还没有准备好。作
为精神科医生，语言和文化两者缺一不可。我才刚刚探了一下头，明白了这就是我
想做 |

There are 7 unfilled Cards programs, total of 10 unfilled positions.
There are 5 unfilled Hem/Onc programs, total of 8 unfilled positions.
The open inforamtion for everyone showed the unfilled GI programs are
Gerogetown U, Johns Hopkins, U Colorado, Yale, Maryland U. But most of the
programs are GI/research, not GI/Clinical.
Only the unmatched people can see the really detailed and accurate
information of unfilled program. |

is no such thing as "2nd class MD". Period.
Remember FMGs are given the same consideration when applying residency
program as AMGs. If you can get ECFMG certificate than you are ready for the
game, as simple as that. If we were not treated equally the first place,
there won't be so many AMGs did not get their 1st choice or even unmatched,
not to mention some of FMGs did manage to get into "ROAD" residencies. CMGs

just after it released 1-2 days. Does this mean anything?
I think MEDI should be the place for everyone, not just for 99er's, or
those who got Matched. We should encourage CMGs with mid- or low scores,
with multiple attempts, unmatched to come here for any reason. Sharing
successful stories and happiness is wonderful. But, sharing the bitter and
failure should also be accepted.

IMG们最集中的地方。印巴，南美的考生非常多，CMG也经常能见到。我match那年，甚
至还有一个
NRMP来的工作人员，给我们解惑每一个步骤，包括match运行的algorithm, 在电脑上运
行需要多少
时间（几分钟）。结果这个人因为在公众论坛泄露“敏感”信息最后被解雇了。当然这
是几年前的情况，
现在有没有变化，我不太清楚。
那个论坛虽然是公众论坛，但是禁忌比较少。时不时有NBME的考题，视听复习资料，
unmatched
program list for scrambling等等的上传，真正是穷CMG考版生的福音。而在中国人（
在美）论
坛里，则要更加小心翼翼一些，因为你不知道哪个dr.大牛会让你接受一下知识产权的
普法。
麦地这个论坛当然有这个论坛的优势，这里大家背景相同，共同语言更多一些，甚至合
适的复习资料在
CMG和其他IMG之间也不同。
有感于麦地纷争。不喜欢这里噪杂的人，可以看看usmleforum. |

But such non-sense words are not help for you as well as for others, even in
my opinion, as an old CMG or old ID in this forum better behave like a
matured person to set up a good image for self and others.
Unmatched or lost in the battle is not shame at all--someone won, definitely
someone lose, but the mental strong and being good image are important, and

If I ranked two programs, A and B, as my first and second choices, A is an
advanced program and B is a categorical.
If A program ranked me high but the TY/Prelim along with it was "unmatched",
and B program also ranked me high, did the Match go to A (A + no TY/prelim)
or skip A and go to B instead, because B is categorial?
