12k last year. There were 4oo AMG unmatched this year.
To solve this issue, there is the position so called "Assistant physician" (
not Physician asistant) which doesn't require residency training in the
states. IMG can also apply the position too. |

failed his main Match which was dermatology only, but through SOAP he got
into a path pg. In this sense, unmatched AMG rate could be pretty low after
SOAP if they are not extremely picky. |

Dermatology PGY1 Unmatched的平均成绩要超过一般外科Matched的平均成绩，MS0在还
没开学最好先找点过去几年NRMP资料看看，再决定要不要过早宣布打算选皮肤科。
不过根据我的经验，一个东方面孔若只有240即使其他条件超强也会在Derm Match中
处于颇不利的地位，我见过的皮肤科住院都是不用化妆就可以上飞机杂志皮肤科广告的
俊男美女，又以白人女性为主。这个潜规则不但针对竞争几乎白热化的PGY1，也包括了
相对没那么竞争的PGY2。全美113个有皮肤科住院训练的教学医院网站常可找到医生照
片和资料，可去看看有没有中人之姿而Resume不甚有亮点的医生。
话说回来，MS1开学时把脑神经外科，整型外科和皮肤科列入考量的占各班三分之一可
能不离谱，显然这些人大部分无法如愿，分别在于有人一上完解剖学就放弃，有些人则
得等考完Step-1后才面对现实。 |
