这问题问的有点别扭，但是还是想问...
我：fresh MS computer engineering, 东岸中等学校。
公司：一个在MA的startup，做video chip的，号称刚刚融到第二轮钱，管理层之前搞
的两三个
startup都是image/video方向的，全数卖给大公司。最近的一个是70几M卖给BRCM。
title：ASIC Engineer。
待遇：base 50k, 15k stock(占总股本的0.1%),3周vacation 10天holiday。MA强制保
险，我
20公司80。
base是不是有点少？我身边最具可比性的一个同学拿了几乎一样的职位，去了MA另一个
公司（NASDAQ
上市），他说他base 62k，但是没股票，保险我没问，vacation可能比我短。 |

If you believe you are underpaid, find another job with a higher
salary. If you are afraid of losing the job, don't ask for a
salary increase.
Are the two first authored papers published in CNS?
In that case, you are underpaid.
If they are just some average journals, you are overpaid.
It is a free market. You need to know your market value.

，有了一家还不错的公司的offer，但是给的数字明显low ball，就比我现在underpaid
的base 多了几千，连我公司fresh colleague new hire 的工资都比不上。
这种情况怎么谈， 感觉对方根本没有意思要人吧，总的package 加起来只比我现在
package 多了13% 左右，好像给的package 连一些fresh ms graduate package 都比不
上， 这跳槽能有什么意思。
公司是很好的公司，请大家指教， 还有另外一家公司offer 在pending，具体数目未知

我觉得也是因为这个原因， 看我现在这么低，没必要给我高的package， 我在面试过
程也犯了一个错，很老实的把自己所有的薪资都讲了，hr问我expectation是多少，我
直接说expect market average.，我觉得这个非常的吃亏，我知道那个组前几个月进来
的一个员工，base 比现在他们offer我的还要高几千。
当时面试时候这是第一个onsite，手上没有任何offer， 后来他们package给的时候第
二个offer 也来了，只是没给数字而已， 应该会拿第二个offer去compete。
最近看了一些negotiate 技巧，觉得之前和recuiter 谈确实没经验。而且我第一次听
到数字，表现的太不happy for the number， 这方面也没有做的太好， 不应该take
it personally. low ball 只是因为当前自己underpaid 不是他们对我能力的否定。
而且第一个offer 大家也都是expect 我们去negotiate的。

当然可能，只要以下三大点符合：
1）你performance很好。不用夸张的说没有你会垮，可是至少没有你这个group的
function会严重受打击。
2）你是underpaid。
3）你公司今年赚钱。
还有一些因素，比如说你的公司不能是非常按照pay band/pay scale，那样你只能
promotion才能大幅度涨工资。所以说看天时（公司赚不赚钱），地利（公司的文化）
，人和（你的performance/review and how underpaid you are).
1越好，2越低，3越多，你拿到30%+的机会就越高。
我本身就有涨过30%的promotion可是那是跟年底review一起给的。 |

Doesn't matter. Everyone is underpaid.
You can say:"this is my current salary, but it's underpaid."
or better, "this is my current salary, but I have another offer of $xxx."
My point is that it's not much point in trying to avoid that conversation.
You are telling them something they will know. It's not your expected salary
. It's your current salary. |

大概没有事先讲好diagnose的labor。结果后来实际花的时间比预期多，所以V觉得
underpaid。
$8 part 收 $60的不晓得是不是确有其实？如果有，估计是觉得underpaid，想做个帐
找回来。如果是这样，就是V的不智了。
其实V费了心费了力，帮lz修了车还挨骂。今后吸取教训吧。
LZ看来不太懂车，那就不要找同胞修了，今后直接找dealer吧。省的到版上来置顶欢迎

too stupid to realize that, after depreciation, maintenance, insurance and
fuel costs are penciled into the equation, they are making about $7/hr.
Even with this unsustainable labor model, Uber is still hemorrhaging
billions of dollars. Uber ride prices will have to double, at minimum, for
drivers and Uber shareholders to make a decent return. That of course will
collapse demand.
