今天，我非常震惊地发现，1946年《远东国际军事法庭判决书》（International
Military Tribunal for the Far East Judgment）网上居然有英语全文，那可是1500
页的文件啊。
我从不知道，这么重要的第二次世界大战的文件，网上居然可以轻易找到！国内媒体好
像从来没有宣传过这件事。我查了国家图书馆的数据库，发现这个文件很可能没有出版
过中译本。我不知道台湾是否出过中译本，当年南京政府应该有中文版的。
我对这个事情很不理解。
这是第一手的历史原件，历史价值就不用说了，对于爱国主义教育和揭露日本军国主义
的罪行，都有巨大的价值。可是，为什么大家都不知道呢？这是公共领域的材料，没有

总之，法国大革命和15、16世纪的宗教清洗比太温和了。例如Guillotine的发明本身就
是人道主义的表现 -- 此前绞刑很痛苦、而且很可能伴随着torture。此后基本是人道
主义秒杀。
对革命过程里的各种事情，报纸曝光得厉害。比如法国的某个贵妇(王后的某个闺密？
很久不看法国革命的书记不住了)被剥光了打死在街上，顿时第二天全部报纸都当作头
条、配图大肆宣扬。可惜当时没有照片，否则肯定更加热卖。
比较堕落的是，有一段时间革命政府控制了法庭，居然剥夺了被审判者的自我辩护权。

经历过文革的那一代人或许对李敦白这个名字有所耳闻。他当时是积极支持文革、参与
“造反”的在华外国专家之一，在北京城红极一时。但他自己后来也在文革中成为被打
倒的对象，入狱10年，罪名是美国特务。文革结束后，李敦白携中国妻子以及四个孩子
移居美国。如今距离文革爆发过去了50年，这位95高龄的文革亲历者对美国之音讲述了
他的文革经历与反思。
1966年10月1日，一名美国人受邀登上天安门城楼观礼。《人民日报》之后在头版刊登
了他与毛泽东在天安门城楼上的合影。照片中，毛泽东正在给他的“红宝书”签名。
这名美国人叫李敦白，英文名Sidney Rittenberg，1921年出生于美国南卡罗来纳州一
个犹太裔名门望族，早年曾加入美国共产党 ，参加工会和民权运动。太平洋战争爆发
后，他应征入伍，学了中文，被派往中国昆明。战争结束后，李敦白选择留在中国，到

但他们为什么要那样做呢？为什么中国人要放弃那套对他们行之有效，转而采用我们那

业工作机会，让我们依赖中国和世界借钱给我们赖以生存的贸易政策呢？
为什么正在努力使自己独立和自给自足的中国，要采用一个让我们已经失去经济自主性

欲动是何其明显，突尼斯已经基本成功，老大哥埃及也顶不住了，在中东的沙特好像也
有异动的报道。
突尼斯，埃及，沙特这些国家有一个共同点就是经济相对稳定，发展势头也不错，民众
相对富裕，整个社会已经稳定发展了几十年了，但是政治就比较保守，最明显的就是国
家元首基本可以连续执政二十年以上。不过街头革命的意义有多大，成功率如何，对国
家政治进程的帮助有多大，还值得期待。这一波浪潮是否能够轻易化解，穆巴拉克，阿
普杜拉等等估计得废一番心思了。
二十一世纪的第二个十年有多少期待？
