pushing too much with top pedal stroke. I used 狗皮膏药。The longest
recovery it took for me is about two weeks.

The only time I experienced pain during a run was during my long run on past
Sunday. I felt pain in my right foot's arch. Left foot was fine. It
happened about 8km into the run. It's just some minor pain, nothing sharp.
And luckily it went away in about 2km, I think.

's a nice way to keep fit and to tone arm muscles especially deltoids.

and socks will be totally soaked after a run longer than 8 miles. One of my
friends who run a 8 mile with me in Houston told several of our friends
about the noise coming from my feet sliding in the shoes-:)
hour walking at 15%, for over 2770 ft elevation gain. I even got a blister
from walking because my socks were soaked - something to watch out for in an
ultra - never let sweat get into your socks. |

stationary bike time trial today, just over 25 miles in one hour. maintained
110-116 rpm, heart rate around 165 for most part, and over 170 in the final
stretch. I feel that I could ride more efficiently on a slightly bigger
gear and 105-110 rpm, but mostly tried to push my heart rate today with
higher cadence. In comparison, my heart rate was 170 in a 10K time trial
back in the spring. |

last sunday. he suggested that my shin splints was caused by the excessive
heel cushioning of cumulus and that I should go with flat instead. will
probably be wearing speedstar for most part now.
2. heartbreak hill is overrated. talking about the one in Newton, not the
one in central park.
3. had X-ray today, no stress fracture. I previous assumed that stress

to-toe drop. but its problem is that the mid section is too thick. from
discussions on other running forums, I'm not the only one who had worse shin
splints problems wearing kinvara.
Let me draw a comparison between MT101 and Kinvara. Around the same period
of time, I wore MT101 in a 50-mile race, a 45-mile run/hike, a 5K race,

吱哼吱路跑. 因为天冷, 跑不长, 也跑不快, 整个一每天垃圾迈. 感觉到了2,3月分一
点长进没有. 于是想到跟个计划吧, 说不定能再PR一把, 报波士顿也概率大点.
于是瞄准了四月底五月间的比赛, 才没过几周, 穿新鞋跑long run, 结果左脚起泡, 咬
牙跑, 水泡出血, 自己还不知道, 就是痛. 16迈回家一看, 血都渗到鞋面上了. 走都
没法走了. 只好歇菜. 这一歇就是十天. 等皮肉伤都好全了, 急着重新pick up
the training plan, 结果腿又抗议了, 左边脚腕正面稍上的地方开始疼. 一开始没在
意, 后来越来越厉害. 自我诊断是shin splint, 赶紧就不敢再跟计划了, 春天跑马拉
松的计划就此泡汤.
歇了一阵子, 感觉似乎不疼了, 又想着折腾了. 想想跑个半马吧, 不能qualify NYCM,
把芝马的corral升级也好. 于是又跟一个半马计划练. 这个计划也很aggressive, 动

I found the following measures are helpful:
1) Slow down further, and accept the fact I can only run sustaintably at
such a slow speed that I used to feel embarrassing.
2) Raise my stride frequency to 180+ steps/min, no matter how slow I run,
which means I am now running with a baby's stride length.
3) Run every the other day. |

来没在80度以上的条件下比赛过。看letsrun上的教练预计说今天elite要慢5分半,普
通选手要慢更多,就已经完全没有期望PR,也没有期望BQ。赛前跟变叔说,今天就冲着
315去了。光膀子,走到起跑线的时候,完全没热身,汗珠子已经沿着胳膊流下来了。
第一迈基本当热身了,让两边的人都超过去。以为要冲着8分去了,看到split是7:15,
觉得今天状态还可以。第二迈的时候遇见了同样赤身奔跑的阿牛。前半程的目的就是把
心跳降到最低,防止身体过热。见到所有水站和递水的人,都把杯子瓶子拿来直接往头
上浇。mile 5, mile 10, mile 13时各吃了一个gel。白老大说过,上坡时不能吃gel,
所以最后一个gel留到heartbreak hill之后。路过wellesley的时候伸出一直手,大概
跟5,60个mm high five。
过半程的时候感觉象刚热身一样。看split是1:33:30, 心想下半程要1:31:30才能BQ,
