down but make sure you have proper hedge / stops if you wanna chase

首先非形式理论、非数量化的理论并非不可检验，大多数都可以推出可检验的假设。比
如涂尔干的自杀论就是可检验的。但他的研究意义不在于几个falsible的假设，其实那
些假设很幼稚，而且也有大量empirical test证明他可能是错的，或者干脆就是错的，
但人们为什么还要revisit这样一个经验检验是错误的理论？
还比如，马克思主义，如果按照经验检验方法，错误一大堆，具体的大家都很熟悉，不
说了。那为什么马克思主义仍旧是一种powerful的理论？为什么人们还要不断revisit
？难道人们都是为了找出马克思没说清楚的地方？或者去找几个可被证伪的命题？
但是，理论意义不在于是否能被证伪。理论可以是一种paradigm，或者形式理论（我理
解的形式理论是以概念、命题和操作化变量组成的理论），理论甚至可以是规范或者干
脆哲学。如果只是以可证伪性来衡量理论，那么当今主要理论有一半要被砍了。说到底
，这个争论在新康德主义出现的时候已经有了，就是自然科学和历史（文化）科学之争
，一直到今天不能说已经解决了，你说的post-modernism和critical theory也是其中 |
