reviewer. For the IEEE trans. journals I served as reviewer, I have to
option to read the revision when I submit my comments. Most of the time, if
I recommend minor revision, I choose not to read again.
But, my guess is that the AE will let you pass with minor revision. If the
AE felt simulated data is not good enough, he would not give you a minor

第一轮referees' reports很好，editor的信也很friendly,只要求一些minor revision.
revision submitted之后，我和co-author（比较有名的senior professor)都很有信心。
没想到昨天收到final decision,让人大跌眼镜。
editor突然又请了第三个referee,说因为原先两个referee对我们的方向不熟。
第三个referee的reports无比的差，从literature review,到experiment design,到
methodology,到analysis,到results,全被批的体无完肤。
editor的于是给的final decision是，rejection.
但是最后他说，

我的一片文章2013年2月份收到第一个Editorial Decision （Major Revision). 努力
修改后再投同一个杂志，在2013年10月份收到第二个Editorial Decision （Accept
with Minor Revision)。满心欢喜以为再投必中了。谁知2014年2月份收到第三个
Editorial Decision （Major Revision)。
一直是同一个reviewer在挑毛病。在最近的一改中，他一方面肯定了我们改的好，另一
方面
又提出新的问题，而且这些问题都不是关键问题。结果editor给了major revision。
板上有相似经历的人吗？我是否可以去找editor要求reconsider他的决定。

editor的信里没说deadline,只是说as soon as you can,因为这个journal is
published in a timely fashion，如果改的时间太长可能需要另外一轮新的review.
我后来写信去问了有没有明确的deadline，editorial assistant回信说没有deadline,
however most revisions are done within three months。但是如果我需要多一些时
间也可以，只要提前email跟他们讲一声就可以了。
再过两天就正好是three months from the notification，但因为我还没有revise好，
昨天就写信过去说可不可以多一些时间？editor一直没有回复。我现在很担心editor会
不会因为我没有get revisions done within three months 就reject了我的文章，或

应该是个运气问题吧. 只有当所有 reviewer 都建议 minor revision 的时候,
editor才可能给这样的决定啊. 一般来说 top journal 的 reviewers 大部分
都是牛人, ego 比较强, 得写的非常好才可能提不出多少改善的建议吧.
还有个信任度的问题. minor revision = conditional accept, 除非改动
只涉及 language/style, 只要有 substantive changes, 对编辑来说就有
risk. 这种case-by-case的问题其实没什么好问的. 当然我说你 BSO 也是
开玩笑而已.

我看了那篇稿子里面有很严重的错误，而且通过作者对一审的回复可以看出，别的审稿
人在一审中已经对这个错误有了质疑。但是在我看来作者的回复是完全不令人满意的。

问题只添加了两句话，等于没有正面修改。在response to reviewer 中说自己感觉应
该够了。。。

Z87.1的，他们毕竟是普通眼镜，不安全。
Over the glass (OTG)的眼镜，因为他们会和你自己的眼镜互相磨损，另外也会使你的
视力变形（多一层玻璃）。如果你非要这么做，可以试试NRA OTG glass。
如果有隐形的话，带隐形，再带护目镜，safetyamerica上有很多护目镜就几块钱很好
了。
最完美的解决方法就是带Prescription护目镜，这个我推荐去opticsplanet上的
Revision
sawfly，basic kit只要44块钱，如果去ebay上有卖军剩的很多只要二十块（Revision
sawfly是美军一段时间的标配）。
再买一个sawfly lens carrier，在revision官网或者opticsplanet都是99，总共120～
140左右，几百几千的枪都买了不差这点钱。眼睛是自己最宝贵的东西，谁知道在range
会发生什么，你自己的枪里蹦出的蛋壳，或者你隔壁久没维护的rental gun，都有可能

说得很mean了，很多意见就是瞎扯。还特别提出我们有个系列的数据没show出来，其实
我们有，但是跟
现在的数据关联不是太大，而且那部分数据老板想留着发其他杂志，主编给了major
revision，说

第二轮审稿，审稿人1，2说ok了，可以发。审稿人3又来了一堆问题，还特别提到，那

今天AE决定给Accepted with minor revision (AQ).
但是其中一个reviewer提出了新的问题，主要是说文章里面的仿真都是simulated
data, 为什么没有 real data. 我觉得很无奈，也不知道怎么回答。事实上的确很多
信号处理算法的文章中的仿真都基于simulated data的。
我想问的是，这种情况下，如果我修改了以后还是simulated data, 但是说一些
为什么没有/不能 用real data 的原因，是不是也可以通过？还是还有可能被拒？
