主的管教
经文: 「倒要从宽惩治你，万不能不罚你。」（耶利米书卅︰11）
若没人来管理纠正我们，我们将落入悲惨的光景。这证明上帝所曾说的︰「因
他不听管教，选择归向偶像，就任凭他去吧！」上帝多么不愿意我们陷入这样的景况，
因此若一路都是康庄大道，毫无波折，也是让人忧心、战栗。这证明上帝不愿管他，让
他在世上一帆风顺，对上帝未存敬畏的心，终致走向灭亡之路。反之，上帝所爱的，他
必管教，祂的杖，祂的竿，都是上帝的爱，为要导正、洁净我们。
然而，你看，上帝给我们的管教，是经祂量过的。祂的爱是无限的，但祂对我
们的管教督正，却是一步一步的。旧约律法对以色列人被鞭苔，不得超过四十下，此用
意显明这个责罚不是意气用事；同样的，上帝对我们每一次的管教与雕琢，都是出于上
帝的智慧和爱。主啊，祢就站在我身旁，把我该喝的苦杯量给我，但愿我不要存着叛逆
