相同没错. 比如Gaussian Prior取个log,就成了个square的penalty term. 而且BIC就
是拿来控制model complexity的吧. 理论上Penalty你是可以自己随便选得很奇怪,
Bayesian prior也行,但是后者是有明显的概率意义的.
概率理论的几个school我不太懂,不过我倒是不反感Bayesian的东西.我们一个临床的仪
器改成能让大夫大人们根据自己的经验选他们自己的prior之后,cost降了好多,有的行
业需要把人的主观经验加到算法里.但是就像好多人说的,Bayesian approach恐怕也就
那么几个简单的model好用.反正俺们干的就是research. |

贝叶斯学习则比较注重对问题建模。贝叶斯方法和
函数式编程在有一点上非常像，就是极度追求
理论的完美性，当和现实世界的不完美性产生
冲突时，会把不完美的那部分排除在理论之外。
比如Haskel用IO monad包装整个现实世界，从而
实现形式上的纯函数式。贝叶斯方法则严重依赖
prior probability。至于prior probability
怎么选则不予讨论。而且prior distribution
的形式完全是由数学上的和谐性决定的，说不出
什么物理依据。比如multinomial分布的prior
是dirichilet分布，完全是由数学形式上的
可行性决定的，没啥道理可讲。因为有这些理论
上优美性的条条框框制约，所以这两个东西在
实战上总是输人一截成不了主流。这次神经网络
兴起之前最流行的graphical model就是贝叶斯
方法，图像分类的实战上一直干不过SVM。
本来这两个是独立的概念没法比，但因为都在
图像分类上有应用，所以勉为其难从效果上

遇到一个很难的simulation，audit financial derivatives. 根据题目给出的每个
description来判断control risk和detection risk是增加还是减少。 我只记得一个
description, 大概是说management 用daily trading data from internet 来记录
investment的value，请问大家，这个对CR 和DR是怎么影响啊？我当时选的是CR 减小

最基本的一点：Double Patenting 是claim to claim comparison， 102 rejection是
disclosure to claim comparison。
而且你把Examiner的perspective和applicant的perspective混淆了。流程是，
Examiner看到prior art的disclosure anticipate your claim， 他就发102
rejection。他要是看见prior art的claim和你的claim可以cross-read，而且在他的记
录里prior art和你的app是同一个assignee，估计就是发你double patenting
rejection了。我见过的double patenting基本都是同一个applicant的parent 和
continuation两个case，examiner会发DP。否则examiner就算是发现prior art和你的
claim可以cross-read，只要没有assignment，他又哪里知道两个invention后面有

会出来的posterior应该也死beta

我的理解是因为他这个model没有办法拿到所有的数据（这个model的设计导致了
missing data的必然发生），所以他没有data去estimate他需要的Prior distribution
parameters。所以他用了standard的distributions去generate了一个完全non-
informative的priors。这里他选用InvGamma(1,1)是因为这个是经常用到的normal分布
的non-informative prior distribution。不知道怎么解释为什么选择alpha, beta都
是1，可能这是最简单的选择吧。
同样也没有理解他选择generalized beta(1,1)的原因。假定了这个分布，他然后用了
Gibbs sampler去sample了符合GenBeta的分布的点，用这些点去estimate covariances.
所以我的理解是这些prior并没有任何informative的东西，最后的Posterior还是主要

regularization就是加了一个prior。
而L1就是Laplace distribution的prior，L2是Normal distribution的prior。
Lp里面，p越大, prior distribution越圆滑（看看密度分布图就知道了）。
如果只是为了做feature selection，一般流行的做法是L1，也就是LASSO，因为
Lapalce distribution很尖，这样得到的coefficient没那么圆滑或者模凌两可。
