Not sure about pharmacy tech licence. But technically, the so-called
pharmacy intern license = pharmacy intern registration. Foreign pharmacy
graduates must obtain FPGEC certificate from NABP before registering for
their internship. They will need to contact the state pharmacy board for
application details. The requirements vary depending on specific states.
After you are registered you are allowed to start internship in either
hospital or retail pharmacies. |

但我认为现在下结论还太早，起码得看10-20年吧
pharmacy跟金融业不一样，没有投机成分。
也不同于制造业，没有产业转移。
我认为pharmacy还行吧，利好因素不少呢，
比如：
pharmacy属于健康消费，决定因素是人口，保健体系及个人健康意思
这几个方面都没有下降趋势，相反，
美国人口是世界上增长最快的，这是市场，有需求，也最有潜力
美国人受教育程度健康意思没有下降，
现在还搞全民医保，政策间接提高消费
美国正遭遇巨大经济危机，各行业都有影响，危机不会很快结束
有些行业提前就遇到困难，有些滞后体现，pharmacy在所难免。
你如果说downturn,现在几乎所有行业都在走下坡。
如果说pharmacy将来被某个体系替代,这个就是个长的话题，
个人认为至少50年内不可能，也许根本就是个伪命题。
十年前网络经济发泡，很多经济学家预测local retail business很快死掉，
但最后死掉大多是网络店。而且药品不是普通商品，不能类比。
除非国会有相关药品零售法案通过，那样至少也会有过度期。
现在很多药学院扩招也与pharmacy行业萎缩是矛 |

首先，每个人毕业都有一样的pharmD，我们作为职业培训出来的产物，要如何做到在雇
主心目中特别的那一个，是需要比平时的课业付出更多努力的：这就是为什么Pharmacy
school常常竞争激烈，大家都想做leadership, internship, projects, research,
各种能让自己在人群中stand out的活动。我很庆幸自己的学校竞争氛围特别友好，大
家都乐于帮助，不是aggresive/mean的那种普遍的印象。
做一个出色的药剂师需要很强的记忆，而且不是死记硬背，而是能把各路信息在记忆中
汇总串联的能力。就像我们每一个学期学习一个生理系统，背下来没问题，但是怎么样
把全部都联系起来，做出一个整体的clinical decision，是需要强大的记忆能力和知
识储备的。很多人说pharmacy就是背，但我觉得如果只做到了背书，考过naplex和law
，最后的职业选择更加偏重在community/chain的customer service. 想要往更高的平

Pharmacy Tech 4个月，感受跟以前的shadowing一点都不一样。因为shadowing是免费
的，就相当与旁观一样，具体做不了什么实事，作为employee，算工钱的，当然要被赶
着干很多事情。所以想要申请Pharmacy School的同学们，如果有机会，可以先找份
PharmTech的工作，这样也好更进一步了解下这个行业。
我的经验算少的，所以欢迎前辈们指点，我也好跟着学哦。:)
下面简单说下一张处方进药店的具体流程吧。今天讲drop off。
处方进来大概有几种途径：
1，Hard copy，处方写在纸上，或者是打印出来有医生签名的，病人或者家属朋友拿来
的。
2，Fax，医生办公室发来传真
3, Electronic RX，这个我还没有搞清楚怎么来的。
4, Phone，医生办公室打电话，多数是留言的，也有人要特别和Pharmacist直接对话的。
所有处方都在drop off station被扫描进系统，然后进行下一步处理。

其实已经有一个EE 美国 master,但找不到工作,深知找不到工作的痛苦
不想念CS是因为年纪大脑袋不宁光,CS朋友建议年纪大不适合
小的现在35岁,有绿卡,今年申请的话,如果读Pharmacist schools毕业就40岁
已经修完pre-pharmacy
但看了很多英文关于Pharmacist的就业
其实大家都不看好
说到2020年其实要找Pharmacist供过於求
因为年纪大了,只是想找个可以做到65岁
好找工作且可以养活自己的工作
看了Pharmacy sdn大城市薪水最低到43 per hours
薪水降的可能性很高,因为供过於求
而且现在很多工作是floating,
有把Nursing版认真看过,看过大家的分享
也有在医院surgery做过voluteer至少100小时
知道RN很累,几乎都要站著,不过retail pharmacist也都要站著
如果不怕累跟脏,口语不太好
现在觉得自己很废,这年纪还没一个稳定工作
那一个工作前景比较好?可以做到65岁且好找工作

EXAM. 很容易的, 比PCAT 简单多了. 这个CERTIFICATION无疑有给你的APPLICATION 加
了一个法码, 同时有让你了解一下PHARMACY. 在INTERVIEW的时候,你可以强调你有
CERTIFICAIOTN, 说明你有这个能力成为PHARMACY TECHNICIAN,只不过你没有时间去做.
这是我的一点心得, 我和我的INTERVIER 说我有CERTIFICATION 的时候, 他好象特

worth tring if you really want to. Do not forget you may need to take the 2
years of pre-pharmacy most likely. So, that's another 2 years of tuition.

I still remember the last time I sold plan B to some girl, she looked very
young and had a bunch of girl friends with her, so my pharmacist said
afterwards that they were all there to emotionally support her...
anyways, i know some ppl find retail pharmacy and pharmacy overall
repetitive and boring, but I really liked working retail cuz something new
happened everyday, now I do find hospital pharmacy even more intersting
because of all the problem solving things you have to do everyday, a |

科研，例如研究一些药物的毒理和相互作用之类的，这是不是就是你说的
Translational Research吧，不知道我这样想的对不对呢？有这种在医院既做科研又发
药的职位吗？是不是就是pharmacist specialist呢？谢谢！
另外关于area of pharmacy practic我可以理解成the discipline of pharmacy which involves developing the professional roles of pharmacists吗？
Areas of pharmacy practice 包括:
Disease-state management
Clinical interventions (refusal to dispense a drug, recommendation to change and/or add a drug to a patient's pharmacotherapy, dosage adjustments, etc.)

发帖数: 14 | 46 小弟在ohio, 月底学校有个pharmacy employers的meeting, walmart cvs的还有一些
hosipital要来, 好像要招一些pharmd student的。
小弟现在在念pre-pharmacy， 也想去那个meeting, 主要想去那问问有没有地方招什
么volunteer postion, cashier, pharmacist shadows, 主要是想给自己明年申请时的
简历添砖加瓦，不知道这个想法可行不？？？ 不知道还有没其他什么跟pharmacy有关
的position 像我这样的情况可以申请的， 并且对以后申请pharmd可能有一定辅助作用
的， 还请各位哥哥姐姐给点建议 碰到那些employer应该怎么问 问些什么 ... 跪谢
因为自己是international student而且不是pharmd 据说那种paid的工作基本上是想
都不用想的。。。

supply is very small. If the customers can buy some other stuff, the whole
store sales and profits may be all right. However, for the department stores
like Walmart, the pharmacy department is evaluated seperately. Therefore
there is no big incentives for the pharmacy department to honor competitors'
coupons and sell for a loss.
I personally think retails should focus on some other strategies than just
the price war. |

人说UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON的更好~~那这两个学校的PRE-PHARMACY到底哪个好呢？

学校transcript 上的online course和非online course有区别么？学校说没有区别。
可是有的pharmacy school 明确说不要online course。所以。。。。问问再上
pharmacy的同学，这样的online course 能行么(成绩单上无online) 对于必须非
online course 才算数的学校？
还有就是没有规定online course不算的学校，去面试的时候，学校会问那些课是
online的，那些课是 非online 的么? |
