可以自由选择， 你会去哪里？我认为的Pros and Cons （我还没在美国practice的经
验，所以看法可能偏颇）
hospital pharmacy:
Pros: 学的东西多(特别是clinical方面的），工作环境好（可以和医生，护士等打交
道，不会太无聊）
Cons: pay 比较低，（speciality的除外）， 工作schedule不甚灵活（evening shift
, etc),
retail Pharmacy：
Pros：pay 比较好 （还有sign on bonus)，朝九晚五，
Cons: 工作环境比较无聊，没什么人讲话，也没时间讲。 听起来也没有在医院上班好
听，比如国内零售药房里工作的一般不会给人太professional的印象。
大家已经practice的，能说说你们或朋友的经验吗？ | s**4

Work schedule in the hospital is flexible in a different sense (for clinical
pharmacy), for example, you can take a longer lunch period or leave for a
couple of hours as long as you get your work done by the end of the day, cuz
you don't have patients waiting on you and you're in control of your tasks

我感觉好像现在医院的Pharmacy不太好进。很多只要PharmaD，甚至Clinical
Pharmacist。像我们这样考FPGEE的，机会很小吧？！

central pharmacy which fills all inpatient orders.
Clinical pharmacists is reponsible for monitoring labs/drug therapies for
all of your patients and making recommendations/adjusting meds & doses
accordingly on a daily basis. Clinical pharmacy can be very stressful in my
opinion, cuz you're put on the spot a lot with a bunch of MDs asking for
your opinion right there right now. If you're the type of person who works

pharmacist 薪水高，而医院的 staff pharmacist又不如retail. 一年差大概20k呢。
到底clinical pharmacist薪水可以有多少呢？
我喜欢clinical,但不希望经过more work, longer school, 只有薪水反而更低。 | r********r

order是否正确，dosage是否 appropriate. 另一个downside is, you might have to
work 2nd or 3rd shifts. | | | c*****4

不过,我个人认为英雄莫问出处,Clinical Pharmacist也是从本科生一步步走过来的.
关键是能力和工作经验,如果一个医院只注重你名字后的字母,这样的医院不去也罢.
当然,你也可以工作后去拿Non-traditional PharmD,再做一两年Resident,也许比较容
易让大多数医院接受...

what's the average annual salary for a clinical pharmacist? I've worked with
lots of clinical pharmacists on rotations, but I've never been comfortable
enough to ask what their salary is...

about $110k to $120k plus extra pay for any weekends they covered.
By the way, you could just ask your preceptors what would be a fair salary
for a clinical pharmacist (as they know of).

pharmacy.
I had the opportunity to ask about the hourly wages for a couple retail
pharmacies today, and I was very surprised at how much floater pharmacists
can make nowadays.

I had one of my rotations. I think he worked from 10 or 11 PM to 7 AM the
next morning. | r********r
发帖数: 352 | 17 usually, first shift is from 7am to 3:30 pm, second shift is from 3 to 11:30
pm, and third shift is from 11pm to 7am.
In some hospitals, they have pharmacists only work at night. But in some
hospitals, maybe everybody has to work some evening or even night shifts. It
is all depends on where you work and how they assign the shifts. Some
pharmacists like working at night, it is not as busy as during day time,
they can work 7 on 7 off and maybe they can even take another day time job
