知道要 2份成绩单，要去哪儿公正？？
还有什么东西~~ 只能自己国内准备好，爸爸妈妈都不是很懂这些，到时候让他们弄肯
定搞不清楚的~~所以自己想要提前准备好~~ |

U.S. . I started FPGEC application two years ago, but it was rejected at the
beginning. I appealed and the committee asked me to resubmit some materials
including signed transcript and certificed translation and affidivit. I got
a letter from Li two years ago.
Please don't give up your effort in applying for the exam even if you met
temporary problems. I got a B.S of pharmacy from a TCM, still get approved.

SOCIAL，和CLINIC关系很好，我有个朋友的店就很好，每天600多个处方，两个
PHARMACIST同时工作有时都忙不来。我觉得RETAIL PHARMACY已经过剩，自己开店成功
的机会很小。 |

可以自由选择， 你会去哪里？我认为的Pros and Cons （我还没在美国practice的经
验，所以看法可能偏颇）
hospital pharmacy:
Pros: 学的东西多(特别是clinical方面的），工作环境好（可以和医生，护士等打交
道，不会太无聊）
Cons: pay 比较低，（speciality的除外）， 工作schedule不甚灵活（evening shift
, etc),
retail Pharmacy：
Pros：pay 比较好 （还有sign on bonus)，朝九晚五，
Cons: 工作环境比较无聊，没什么人讲话，也没时间讲。 听起来也没有在医院上班好
听，比如国内零售药房里工作的一般不会给人太professional的印象。
大家已经practice的，能说说你们或朋友的经验吗？ |

you look around faculty in School of Pharmacy, the degree that help them get
the faculty position is Ph.D. To be a faculty, the most important thing is
your research and your grant application skills.
Being a faculty in pharmacy school, you are not just competing with Pharm.D.
You are competing with all the scientists in your research area.
Just my 2 cents.

throughout pharmacy school and only landed a 3.77 gpa by graduation, from
one of the top pharmacy schools in country
also a gpa can only get you that far in your career, the rest is your
capabilities as a person/pharmacist, i was in rho chi for 4 years, and
honestly no one cared to ask me about it during any of my interviews |

First, Let us see demanding.
Retail pharmacy tried to reduce opening hours and change 24 hour stores to
regular stores. The demanding for RPh is shrinking.
Hospitals tried to freeze the haring, because of the uncertainty of the new

Then looking at supply.
A lot pharmacy schools increase or even double the enrollment last 5 years.

But it's very competitive and takes a lot of work.
Actually since you have PhD already, maybe PharmD/PhD won't need residency to be a faculty. I know a person like that now works in Creighton.

我先说说我自己的看法，
首先美国经济下滑，整体民众消费水平也下滑(pharmacy也是消费)。
第二国会一直在讨论要cut联邦经费，medicare mediaid,虽然我不完全了解这两个东西
，但是可以想象医疗开支要下降。
第三药店正在整合，提高效率，就造成裁员并店等等。毕业生多，工作机会反而少了。
总之，一个投入和产出的关系，不像之前想象的那么没好了。特别是没有身份的F1,更
是困难从从，相信过来人都很有体会。我是最近被入取后，被shock到了，学校要求我
开出将来4年学费生活费的资金证明，才给我开I-20。4年的所有费用要一次性开给他们
看。真是郁闷！！但是还是想了办法解决了。
我的问题是，
F1身份，一般能找到part time job吗？什么时候开始找？
用CPT 还是OPT 工作呢？
最后一年学校安排的实习是算CPT还是OPT呢，我问过学校international office的，
CPT 如果full time 工作超过12个月，OPT就不能再申请了。

他学校应该都有这个优惠吧。我自己这个是不要钱的，因为用了学校里的一个code，嘻
嘻。
Micromedex其中的drug information和drug interaction是从我们学校的网站上下载安
装的，也是不要钱的，大家可以查查自己学校，很可能也是这样的。
还有一个叫DrugIQ，一个叫PocketRx都是免费的app，但是有了前面两个，这些就没啥
必要了。
强烈推荐Flashcards给准备考试的同学。背卡片超级好用。每张卡片有三面，我是分别
用来写：generic, brand, MOA/class,可以打乱顺序背，可以看generic背brand,也可
以看brand被generic，可以记哪些没背下来，单独反复背。而且网上有很多现成的卡片
资源，可以不用自己制作，或者按自己的意思修改。想当初背GRE单词的时候要是有这
个就方便多了。
skyscape，有免费资源，其中包括Rx Drugs，和其他用得到的东西，也有收费资源。但

是他们的目标。
hospital病人应该减少吧，都是平时有病不看最后就去住院呗。
pharmacy更多客人拿药？因为看了医生，又有保险pay prescription?
drug shortage会更严重吧。
我看药厂会再火起来。
平时好多人来pharmacy 要consultation都是因为没钱看医生，找pharmacist当免费医

从目前的小药店/小作坊的分散体系,变成一个地区有一个中央发药中心,所有的out-
patients的处方都送到这个发药中心,药师在接到处方之后电话核实,核实之后流水线配
药发药.
这几天在写essay正好想讨论一下这种community/retail pharmacy的中央发药制度,想

：（虽然年龄和美国同学差不多，但是也有感觉和美国人比较疏远。这点我也经常和老
公抱怨。老公的意思也是别太累了，差不多就得了，我觉得不要想太多，我们班上很多
同学有孩子，年龄最大的都55了。很多人因为有家，有孩子，也不会怎么参加社团。我
觉得这无所谓啊，不一定什么都要向人家看齐。我是没有孩子，所以做了个school
ambassador和一个co-chair。我做这些也真不是为了residency，（我现在还真没想好
以后具体干啥。。。确实是自己想involve in serving community。我自己会很开心做
这些事。像我没孩子，整天读书也挺没意思的。。。。
其实很多时候是我们自己想太多，和别人疏远是因为我们不太主动，所以open一点，有
机会多和同学聊聊天。我发现很多时候只要自己主动，人家也会愿意和你说话。再说
pharmacy有很多不同的工作，不一定现在就死死锁定residency。别把自己弄太累。
我一直很佩服像你们这样家里还有娃照顾的MM读pharmacy哦。版上有很多优秀的有娃MM
