find intern position in hospital? Do they require work experience in

me to have hospital experience. I just threw my resume to whoever is
hiring a pharmacy tech or intern. after a long time(2-3months), i finally
got a phone call and the interview, then got the job.

a few years ago, I didnt go for pharmacy or other popular major because of
tuition. Now I am reconsidering it. So you have already taken a big step. |

，读二年。这样算起来的话，要6年后才能工作，好艰难！

发帖数: 352 | 17 Being a Rho-Chi member makes you feel good about yourself, and also makes your resume looks good. It might not help you getting a good job or getting a green card faster. In my opinion, being a Rho-chi pharmacist does inspire you to pursue intellectual excellence all through your career, and it is
worthwhile to become a member.
I think for pharmacy students, you need a top 10% GPA to be invited to the
society, but I do know PhD students who joined Rho-Chi just by nomination of
his/her PI. |

发帖数: 352 | 22 pharmacy school学生女生占大多数，就拿我们班来说女生占70%. 毕业以后一部分追求
事业，另外一部分找一分稳定的，薪水不错的工作，嫁一个同是药剂师或者牙医，医生
的老公，然后生几个孩子就go part-time去了。所以毕业生多，供求饱和并没有看起来
那么快。
而且以后20年60岁以上的老人比例要继续增加，吃药的，吃很多种要的，在long-term
care的老人会越来越多，药剂师还是会需要的。也许某些人看到“江河日下”的趋势也
许是在某个practice setting, 这个总会有些变化的。所以技能很重要，干不了retail
, 去医院，去不了医院去long term care, long term care去不了去公司,药厂，在不
行还有 nuclear, 或者做faculty. 总之，只要基础好，愿意不断学习，提高自己，这
个行业还是很有希望的。
当然MS nurse要看你毕业以后做什么了。是NP的program也很好，特别是如果你喜欢
direct patient care. 麻醉师nurse薪水也很高，不过我认识的人之前都是做过若干年
ICU nurse什么的 |

complain they have to spend a lot of time to do no medical related works
such as insurance paper work and etc. They feel frustrated. Still a lot
people go to medical school.
My dentist used to tell me that dentist is a labor work. Most of routine
is to clean the teeth. But dentist is still a good career.

乱”，生成报表很复杂；而且客服不好，打电话永远没人接。我preceptor也弄不懂，
最后手工输入数据，excel搞定。
target的软件是最差的，黑底绿字DOS系统，不需要鼠标，全是快捷键。实习结束我还
是不会查处方状态。
CVS的软件有点老，但上手以后还是比较好用，该有的功能都有。
Walgreens的软件最好使，界面最直观，设计的比较贴近我们平常用的软件，两三天就
能上手。最喜欢它的电子秤，不用数得那么幸苦。 |

难找，正好现在是暑期，很多位置已经被fill了。good luck! |

Couple of years ago. My labmate wanted to do volunteer at a pharmacy, but
none wanted her. She ended up doing paperwork at a hospital. Technician job
should be better than the volunteer, but it's hard to say if you only want
to work part time. Good luck! |

giant chain stores. But I believe there's always space and advantage for
the independent store. It is an easier life being a pharmacist, but having
own store is another different awesome experience I dream about.

小的独立药店难道没有特殊的政策扶持么？small independent business通常消化就业
最多，这些小business数量是衡量市场健康程度的指标之一。哪一个行业，如果只剩下
巨头了，是很危险的，通常政府会干预的。
如果家里亲人没有经营药店的经验的话，白手起家，我觉得要在chain store里面做到
area manager若干年，就比较清楚整个流通渠道了。如果楼主真的有兴趣自己开店，就
要多争取向管理层发展。先从pharmacy manager开始吧。 |

services, eg. home delivery, or has contract with some facilities. There is
a post on studentdoctor forum about an independent pharmacy. One of the
owners was working for cvs and quitted his job a year ago while preparing
for their own store, and the store has opened for about a year, and seems to
be successful, up to 3000 rxs a month. |

了，就是一个robot.这个工作好不好,见仁见智，如果你追求一成不变的工作，体力上
算是有challenge,但是不消耗脑水的工作，RETAIL真是太适合了。所以各位猛力跳
pharmacist这个坑的同学，如果你的未来锁定是RETAIL，就请先问你自己要不要过这样
的生活先。

白人，多数是老印，几乎没有中国人工作药店或医院。想在他们那儿跟班一周弄点经验
为申请pharmacy program 的必须要求。 都得不到，要么问你有没有认识的人在那个
field,要么问你有没有工作经验。如果没有基本没戏，打算今年秋天就申请，因所有的
必备条件都有了，本想打算在这个暑假在药店跟班一周，找了几十家都不要暑期的，真

我觉得哈，越往上做越好做，你看我老板一天都不知道在晃什么，不过我们英文不行，
