or internal medicine training can practice as general practitioner. The
subtle differences are:
1) Family medicine doctor can see kids as well, while internal medicine
doctor cannot. If you want your entire family see the same doctor instead

我跟老公去年7月搬到这里，12月28日去做annual physical check。老公的保险是100
％ coverage within network; 80％ coverage out of network, plus 500
deductible per person。
两个人的常规检查而已，2月收到账单，加起来要1100多。
先打电话给health insurance company，说是因为out of network了（500＋500＋20％
＝1100多）。但是我们去之前确定了，当场也确定了，是within network的，一番艰难
沟通，保险公司说Waltham Family Medicine bill错了，用的是"Newton Wellesley
Ambulatory Services"的名义——这个诊所在Newton Wellesley Hospital里面租的房

培训时间2年，请问这种program怎样？还有Internal Medicine和family medicine下面
都有preventive medicine（IM/preventive medicine和FM/preventive medicine）,我
看了一下curriculum好像没有太大的区别，都是3年。
请问这3种培训有什么差别？这些和独立的IM program 相比是不是更容易进去？多谢！ |

. If you think medicine only involve in diagnosis and treatment, medicine is
probably not science. It only uses the results of scientific studies. If

primary care doctor之后，觉得primary care很有意思，比起pathology更何我意，再
加上step1分数也不是很competitive，于是很想申请family medicine。 最大的担心是
我毕业已经10年了。虽然有美国的PhD和不少publication，但貌似对family medicine
不太有用啊。想问问family medicine的前辈，我这种情况值得去花很多时间和精力去
做family medicine的observership吗？你们见过program里有毕业>10 年招进来的吗？
我现在该怎么做来maximize my chance? 还是说老毕业生就不用在family medicine上

medicine在大城市执业的话差别非常小，但是你的科研经历对于申请Internal
medicine，会有更多项目对你感兴趣，难度要低很多

一般药厂R & D中心都会有一个专门的Medicinal Chemistry的部门，诺华是放在
Chemistry下面的，GSK是放在DPU里面的，罗氏是独立出来的；各公司人数在30-50人之
间；目前职位空缺如下：罗氏Function Head(Director Level) & Group Leader(
Manager Level); 诺华1个Head的空缺（Open的有段时间了，offering的状态）
CRO一般都有个较庞大的Medicinal Chemistry的部门，人数300-600之间： WuXi
Apptec、Sundia Meditech、ChemPartner规模都还行；大多是按照项目及客户进行分组
，然后各组有自己的Group Leader和Associate Director; AD级别以上人数有20-10不
等；

hygience,不知道报名能不能成功? 有没有类似经验的人过来说一下。
还有临床专业的，文凭上显示的是bechelor of medicine.就完了。好像记得前面有人
说一定要bachelor of medicine in medicine才能报名成功么？

A much needed infusion of family doctors is on its way to Arkansas.
Facing a shortage of family doctors, the state will get some relief with a
federal grant that will fund 30 more primary-care resident physicians at
UAMS Area Health Education Centers (AHECs) in El Dorado, Fayetteville,
Jonesboro and Pine Bluff.
