Rumor said the following:
(1) RSU: restricted stock units. Sign-On RSUs will mature over 4 years. But
if you leave earlier, you lose the un-mature part.
(2) Since people will stay in 4 years normally (to collect sign-on rsu), the
salary will very likely stay the same for 4 years unless they are promoted.
(3) Every year anyone with "below average" performance has a good chance to
put in "performance improve plan", aka PIP. Google it for more info.

refinance是按照现在的loan balance做贷款，但是maturity date重新算，比如你重新

interview的时候你有没有问是不是需要经常work over time？如果要加班，
可不可以晚上在家加班1个小时？如果这些你可以接受，倒是可以考虑。
我自己的几分工作都是在startup， 前一分工作有时候晚上需要加1小时班；现在
这个都没有加过班，只要白天效率高，工作focus6个小时足够了。每天5点下班接
孩子雷打不动。工作时间工作，回家从不想工作。孩子们学校的活动也从没有
耽搁过。今年我还是老大班里的room parent，家务几个娃大部分都是我管，LD
就跑跑龙套。
startup大家更care你是不是productive，而不是在公司耗多长时间，我觉得更容易
抽时间做点自己的事情，比如去学校做volunteer。
去startup，自然是有risk，但是如果比较mature的，能看到一点前途的，risk就小
很多，不去take risk，永远没有机会。 我自己也比较喜欢小公司的环境，很open，

招聘单位不是夜，但是你也不是爷，你想好事都占全，这边工作也先顾着，然后要对方
最好在没有咨询过你的boss全面了解过你的情况下先给你个答复，然后再让你考虑，你
自己真是一点风险也不担，进可攻退可守，这可能吗？招聘方在考虑要不要招你给你什
么offer甚至给你面试的时候也是担风险的，他们自然想尽可能的先了解你降低风险。
我可以理解lz的想法和做法，就是尽可能的降低风险，万一那边不要，或者offer不好
，还可以继续在他老板这边呆。但是我觉得lz的做法非常不mature，不professional，
你可以通过自己的方式去了解招聘单位值不值得你申请，去看你申到的可能性有多大，
还可以跟这边的老板委婉说出自己的意图，希望得到老板的支持，如果真的老板也不能
得罪，那边职位也很吸引人，那就要自己权衡做取舍。这个世界上，需要做这样有风险
的决定的时候会很多，你要用professional或很mature的方式来做决定，如果你总是怪

一个叫 The Hartford Financial Services Group。同时在11/2发表的10-Q。

两个公司的区别就是Life Insurance CO是单纯的寿险公司，而Financial Services包
含前者但是又有些别的financial products。
Life Insurance 的Q3投资比例为 Equities Trading(1,953)以及 Fixed Maturities
Available For Sale (46,103)。Equities的比例很低。对于一个保险公司来说比较合
理。
Financial Services 的Q3投资比例为 Equities Trading(30，770)以及 Fixed
Maturities Available For Sale (80，263)。Equities的比例忽然大增。
