Kozma was on his way to catch the ball but he suddenly stopped
for whatever a reason
the left field umpire saw Kozma suddenly stopped and thought he and
Holiday were playing a trick trying to get a double play so the umpire
immediately call the infield fly out.
It's a bad call but the umpire was indeed trying to do Braves a favor

"infield". It was a routine outfield popup--when SS had to leave
his position so far away, there was nothing "infield" about it.
The late timing of this bitch's call made it even more obvious that
it was intentional as MLB didn't want the defending champion
knocked out so early. An infield fly can't be called after the ball
flew so long.

communication error(当时有两个防守队员在边上），结果两人都没接。球掉在地上，
打手安全跑上一垒。
结果裁判判了一个infield fly.这个规则的原意是防止防守方能够接杀而故意不接杀，
让球落地后可以制造双杀或者三杀。如果判了infield fly,打手自动出局，但是没有双
杀或者三杀。
因为判了infield fly,那个Atlanta的打手本来已经上垒了（本来就没有造成双杀），
结果反而被判出局。结果引起主场球迷骚乱，各种瓶子啥的扔了一地。比赛延迟了半个

He could be a very good DH/infielder, but Rangers acquired
Nipoli after getting Beltre. Nolan obviously does not have
much respect for Young.
At this point of his career, I do not know if he is still
that perennial all star player. But he can still be valuable.
His contract, however, will be difficult to move unless
Rangers is willing to absorb some. |

每个league各出25人的球队，
starter C/1b/2b/3b/ss/of/of/of各一人，
当然是ranking最高的，
如果有人eligible俩位置，那以他经常打的位置为准，DH除外，
比如gary shefield，现在基本DH，偶尔RF，of/1b eligible，就算他1B。
剩下的所有人中ranking最高的是DH，regardless位置。
板凳6个，C,middle infielder, corner infielder,OF各一个，其余2个位置不限。
投手方面SP 7个，RP 3个，都eligible的以目前实际位置为准。
每个all star，奖励owner包子一个。

据说他95mile的sinking fastball很难打，因为sinking fastball有强烈的下旋，所以
像个保龄球一样滚过来一样，打击一碰球就弹地，全是DP和infield 的球，所以打击很
头疼。而且sinking fastball很难投到95，一般就89，90左右。
而且他投球动作很顺很smooth，不太像会受伤的那种，所以真的很可惜。
投手是最重要的，防守其次。 |

其实进攻还一般，昨天被人家连着弄出去16个就不是个好兆头
防守上，infielders都没问题，差不多也是AL数二数三的配置了，但是outfield还是乱
，ellsbury到底是LF还是CF估计tito还没搞清楚想明白。
今天看看吧，如果客场把rays sweep了，回来对KC的4场能拿下来3场，才能说是整了八
经的回到轨道上了。。。

除了vmart和beltre，Ellsbury的合同也到期了，veritek似乎不会留下，lowell退役了，ortiz的合同也马上进入最后一年。另外infielder里面至少还需要一个像样的SS
bullpen确实需要加强，除了okajima，bard和Atchison没什么人让人看着放心，这个赛季主要是starter不稳定，lackey，jb和dicek三个人基本上没发挥出什么大作用。 |

Don't expect too much on Sox then you will be fine. We were lucky to see two
WS in the past decade, considering some people had never seen even once in

3.Jackson的Grand Slam（和他之前的diving catch）。
4.Lackey一如既往的烂，被嘘下场。

I think with Rivera and other relief pitchers, the Yankees

hitter和pitcher比起来，比赛多，consistancy好，也不容易受伤。
内野(不算一垒)除了Arod,chipper,alomar以外，
其他象jeter,nomar,IRod,piazza,
放到外野不过就是二流水准，
外野手能上4个(包括Utility),位置足够，
所以与其选这些大名鼎鼎的infielder,不如挑些数字高的一流外野。
既然定了hitter优先的原则，第一轮ARod就是no-brainer.
后面的都是两个picks连在一起，所以第一个我总是拖到最后几秒才挑，
可以多些时间考虑，结果这个做法造成了惨重损失。
第二轮到了下半段偶本来很高兴，剩下的牛人很多，
结果没想到rivera,alomar,bagwell,abreu连续被挑走，
fire又是毫不犹豫选了hudson,弄的偶时间很紧张。
二，三轮两个pick一个订了shawn green,还有一个正在考虑，
结果时间到了，yahoo直接把偶queue上的最后一名ryan klesko塞给我。
klesko虽然是一垒少有的五毒俱全型，但名气不大 |

my position since my early college years..

理由如下：
catcher不用提 了 ，很大程度上catcher和其他fielder位置可以分开，因为
防守压力太重。
shortstop& 2nd baseman作为middle infielder，接触球的机会非常多，ss
更重要一些，因为1。接球机会相对更多（右打拉打），2。margin for error
比2b小很多（u bobble it, u can't make it）
centerfielder要负责外场接近一半区域的防守，责任重大。没有一个好的
cf，许多single都要变double
3b 需要快速的反应和强壮的胳膊。不过接球机会有限，所以不如上述位置重要。
rf比lf重要是 因为rf需要往3b传球，需要比较强的手臂力量。lf相对而言不那么
需要。
1b：大部分球员都能够成为一个差强人意的1b... |

the franchise" because he is too popular in fans. But he is too humble and
quiet to be a leader. 不愿讲话, 不愿接触媒体. 比赛场上也极少见到他emotional,
即便打个HR也闷头遛回dugout. 不像jeter动不动就pump fist作NB轰轰状, 哪怕只打了个
infield single.
我也高不清楚为甚么veritek现在老被称作heart&soul. 从去年开始的吧.
感觉是媒体的hype. He's definitely not worth 10m/y.
