Along the Housatonic River. The annual “Dueling Fireworks” between the
cities of Derby and Shelton will take place along the banks of the
Housatoinc River again this year on July 3. On the Derby side of the River,
there fireworks will be preceded by a concert featuring the Kathy Thompson
Band. For those walking back and forth across the river, you will also be
able to catch a concert by Glamour Girls on the Shelton Riverwalk. The
concerts start at 7 followed by the fireworks once it gets dark. This annual
celebration of the nation’s independence draws thousands to the two
downtowns and many can be seen crossing to Derby/Shelton Bridge to sample
the show on both sides of the river.
Westport Independence Day Fireworks Celebration
Rain date: July 7
Sponsored by the Westport Police Athletic League, this spectacular event
provides a wonderful fireworks display at dark at Compo Beach. Parking
tickets are required for entrance for a fee and are usually available one

Savin Rock Fireworks Committee launch the region’s largest Independence Day
fireworks show off Bradley Point. Before the 20-minute display, revelers
can shake, rattle and roll to the music of The Navels at the Savin Rock
bandstand from 7–9 p.m.

pm. on Thursday, July 3th on Old Firehouse Road, downtown Naugatuck, and

Stratford annual fireworks display will be Thursday July 3 at Short Beach
Park. The rain date is July 5. A concert will be on the Deck near the
concession stand at 7:00pm. A Moon Bounce will be located at the Mini Golf
Course. The Fireworks Display will be at 9:30pm. Parking will be available
within Short Beach Park and at the south parking lot of the Stratford Army
Engine Plant. Handicapped Parking is available at the Golf Course Parking
Lot. Bathrooms will be available at the Concession Stand, Picnic Area,
Ballfields, and at the Golf Course. The Concession Stand will be open. The
EMS will patrol the park and will have their control center in the parking
lot of the Golf Course.

Watch the fireworks light up the sky offshore from Bayley Beach, starting at
9:15 pm. The performance will last approximately 30 minutes. The best
viewing points will be from the mouth of Five Mile River to Rocky Point,
including Bayley Beach and the shoreline clubs. Access to parking at Bayley
Beach will be according to daytime rules: vehicles with a Bayley Beach
sticker will be admitted, a $20 charge will be collected from vehicles
without a sticker. The parking lot is expected to fill up early.

The fireworks are visible from many waterfront areas in Madison. The main
public viewing locations are from Surf Club Park, East Wharf Beach and West
Wharf Beach. Parking will be very limited at parks and beaches, on public
streets, and in all waterfront viewing areas. Please obey all Madison
Police Department signs and instructions for parking. Use of the free
shuttle bus service is encouraged.

Fireworks explode just after dark, usually around 9:15 PM, from a barge off
of Long Island Sound so the show can be seen easily from either Penfield or
Jennings Beaches. Beach Parking Permits are not required and parking is free
after 6:00 PM at both the Penfield and Jennings parking lots but they do
fill up early. Jennings has more ample parking.

Fireworks begin at 9:15pm
Enjoy New Haven’s annual firework display under the stars at East Rock Park
. Family activities starting at 6pm include musical performances, face
painting, rock climbing wall and balloon twisting. Fireworks begin at 9:15pm
. Families with small children are encouraged to enjoy the activities and
fireworks from Wilbur Cross High School field on the lower park level.
Shuttle service ($5 per car) to East Rock Summit begins at 6pm from the
Davis Street Entrance (Hamden). Limited to 250 cars. Please note: Due to the
anticipated attendance delays in return service to the lower level may
occur.

The Department of Parks and Recreation announces the locations of the two
Town Fireworks Displays in celebration of Independence Day. For the ninth
consecutive year, the Town will present displays at Binney Park and
Greenwich Point Park. Both displays are scheduled for Saturday, July 5,
with a rain date of Sunday, July 6. Both shows will begin at dusk and it is
strongly recommended that anyone planning to attend either display arrive
early. Please read on for additional information.
Limerock Racetrack
The Salisbury Rotary Club’s Independence Day Fireworks event at Lime Rock
Park is Saturday, July 5. Infield and Outfield Gates open at 6:00 p.m., and
all concession stands will be open.Bring your lawn chairs and picnic

Due to the major renovation of the grandstand area, there will be no access
