strikeout pitchers often have a better whip than groundballers.
Webb and Wang will never have a good whip because groundballs
will find holes in the infield. But GIDPs have little to do with
"stupid" batters. Groundballs, while being capable of finding
holes, are also capable of finding fielders to induce a dp. |

re sinker pitchers who had success in the MLB level. Both have major control
issues. To me, Chien-Ming is coming back to form. In his last few starts, t
he GO/FO ratio was really good. He does not have a good secondary pitch, whi
ch hurts him. But moving to a team with better infield defense will also ben
efit him.

那个homer之外都是single, 阳极内场防守不出纰漏的话，天使这么打是没有很多机会
的。
kazmir上来就知道不妙了，他最大的问题是offspeed pitch，特别是他的outpitch
slider没法稳定的扔strike，全场大概只有一个strike out tex的slider是个很漂亮的
inside strike，其他的不是太内就是太低。样机的打手们等着kazmir扔他low 90的快
球，打个结结实实。
其余的，样机bottom hitter在risp的时候凑上几个hits，就变成了blow out game了。 |

内野，2B, SS, 3B, C都是important defensive position with
a lot of strategy involved. Only 1B can be compared with
LF.
Now, 1B is more intensive defensively than LF mainly
because of two reasons. 1. 1B is involved more plays.
2. 1B needs some athletism when playing infield in,
stretching to receive a ball, guarding the line...
On the other hand, if a LF can make the plays he can
make and keep the ball in front of him, he has done

Pagan tried to throw the ball to 2nd base, it was a good throw but Jose
Reyes got confused and he thought pagan was throwing home so he didn’t try
to catch the ball, so the ball went to the infield...
The catcher threw the ball back to 2nd base, two out. The player who should

不少人貌似屁股后面还有cheat sheet，对方谁上来还拿出来看看
比如power足的外野内野都得站深点，往哪边shift，典型例子Ryan Howard
感觉捕手和教练临时给信号多半是situational的吧，
比如based loaded要不要infield in，比如1 on first, two out,就一三垒尽量防住
边线免得double。 我也不懂，看电视看来的，哈哈 |

裁判通常会在球员接球之前就作出infield fly ball的判断,一般是手臂/手指指向那个
球,如果判罚后漏接,无论是否故意,(指界内球,接外漏接按界外球算) 击球员出局,垒上
是活球局面,就是跑垒员可以跑向下一个垒(无需等"接到" 后起跑,非被迫进垒局面,需
要被触杀才能出局),继续比赛局面.

However, Cliff Lee will have a hefty raise (his contract was

11 million dollars. In 2012 it will jump to over 20 million.
Cole Hamels is arbitration eligible. Chances are he will demand
over 15 million. Hunter Pence, too. This team still needs to

average starters. for a starter, 30 is just the start of his
prime. it is rare to have a guy like papelbon who has so many
years of closing experience at such a young age.
madson presents a minimal risk. I agree with you. His skillset
translates very well towards the future. and believe or not,
he was the second best reliever in the last five or six years
stats wise. the best is of coz mariano rivera. that is probably
