I much prefer 805 over 804. But in general, I don;t like much of the new B&W

I use PMC OB1 in my listening room, IMHO, it sounds much more accurate and
grand than B&W. I am driving the speaker with a 18w SET tube amp with
wonderful results.
The other speaker I have in the family room is Piega C3 LTD. Its sound is

IMHO, for moive 5.1
option 1:
B&W 804s $2500
B&W htm1 $1500
B&W bookshelf like 685? $700
JL Audio F113 $2000
--total about $7000
option 2:
Revel F32 $1800
Revel C32 $1000 or C52 $1400
Revel S32 $900
Revel B15a $1300 or JL F113 $2000
-total about $5000- 6000

Both are mid-priced and not hard to drive, good for medium-large room.
I used to have Revel system with JL F112,can't be happier.

Kairn/Klout combo are good, but it is widely agreed that 2 Klouts bi-amping

For the speakers that I have audited. Maggie 1.7 does sound a lot better
than traditional cone speakers as far as I can tell --- the clarity is
unmatched by the traditional speakers, although I think ML ElectroMotion is
probably even better in clarity. However I think Maggie 1.7 is very
sensitive to the quality of amplifiers. Yesterday I audited Maggie 1.7 first
on a 1600 amplifier and then a 16,000 one, definitely heard the difference.

Speaking of USD/CAD, it actually doesn't seem to me that the trend is

(I think) Buffet was referring to the incredibly distorted yield curve,
which when eventually corrects will cause long-term government bonds prices

That does not necessarily translate to a crisis for the Dollar however,

In the end, how the Dollar fares against other currencies is not
determined only by the American economy, but also by others. The Dollar will

Concur the call on mid-term bottom. Crude oil is surging despite the

Maybe I don't understand what's diversification. But diversify is to
reduce your risk right? But I show a graph with
most sectors and cap going in the same direction, deep down. So IMHO,
diversification cannot prevent big loss, that's how I define "not work".
I do show a strategy that will prevent big loss, with max drawdown < 20%
and single trade loss < 10%. That's at least working better than
diversification for the purpose of diversification.

The closer you are to retirement/ the higher the correlation of your income

I personally think to be enough after retirement, one only needs
about 1.5-2M in total retirement balance at age 65. At an annual
yield of 8%, it means 401k vs Roth at 1:1 would be enough.
In another word, IMHO most Chinese are saving too much and thus
they should always consider Roth before 401k. (Super high salary
