12月发生了一些事后，决定放弃faculty梦想，去industry找工作。
1月中旬，通过 recruiter拿到第一次onsite, 从一个非常小的公司拿到OFFER，在
onsite之前就问过 H1B 和greencard, 他们CEO称找过律师咨询过，可以支持H1B,工作
三个月后支持绿卡，觉得这个不错，公司发展前景不错，加上薪水可以，就接了offer.
也停止了找工作的动作
他们开始找律师帮忙转H1B,才发现他们不知道cap except H1B 和 cap H1B的区别，律
师动作也比较慢，cap 2011 H1B被用完了，律师就建议用学校的H1B 转成20% part
time, 申请co-current employer, 我其实是想就此停止的，他们CEO不停打电话说多么
想让我去（后来才知道他们问什么只打电话，不用Email)，让我和老板商量，我一时脑
残就答应了，老板和系里先后都同意了，学校的DIS 开始申请LCA, 公司的律师也开始
动作。

have to go back to China before you can apply for any working visa or
greencard if you used to hold a J1. Although most people can get the

data base team, bonus is high.. other team, not that good
mostly, if you r just an engineer, bonus is 3-5% per year in non-database
team/org.
oracle is not good at pay.. just want to let you know..

有几点建议给大家：
1. 如果已经有recruiter联系你或者你已经提交了简历，我的referral不是很管用。
2. 公司对engineer有3小时的coding test, 所以大家要做好准备。
3. 请尽量多做一点题，公司不大，200号人，enginner大概50个左右，所以hiring bar
可能有点高。
4. 公司sponsor h1b, greencard。不过绿卡要你工作9个月以后才会考虑。绿卡政策个
人感觉一般，大家根据自己情况考虑。
5. 公司base一般，和zynga差不多，不过options给的比较多，然后每年基本都有
target bonus(10%左右)和额外bonus (10%左右)，这是我跟老员工交流得出来的。公司

天聊天，听说是什么律师协会的会员，掌握不少内部信息。分享如下，
1， 概率并非很公平，有微小变量，比如自费H1b会不如公司带办理，理由是自费情况
，职位一般比较不确定。
2， 今年immigration reform上会有成果，只是公民部分基本不现实。可改进的是大幅
提高H1b配额。

update:怎么收到的简历都是Software developer的
这里主要是招network/operations engineer
要求：（他自己说的，按照重要性排序）
1. 懂linux
2. 懂script (python, ruby),不仅仅是shell
优点： （也是他自己说的）
