Here is my situations. one manager is interested in issuing J1 visa to me
. Another manager admits that I am No.1 candidate, but they have policy of
sponsorship (a government agency) and he wants to do H1B.
The boss with interest in J visa acts faster. Would you email the other
boss and let him know what is happening with another potential offer.
Certainly, the work with H1 B visa is more desirable in terms of stableness.

发帖数: 366 | 4 remember that J1 holder have 2-year homeland stay restrictions, that is, you
have to go back to China before you can apply for any working visa or
greencard if you used to hold a J1. Although most people can get the
examptions for such requirement, it needs some work. Consult people in
Postdoc board for more information.
