发帖数: 239 | 18 我是有GreenCard的，我自己的确想进金融公司，但之前被Goldman Sachs拒过，觉得是
自己不够厉害，现在能进去的唯一途径也只能靠IT这块。
而且我听过那些金融公司的人说先进Google，MS，Amazon等这类技术公司，然后转到金
融公司的IT都会比较容易。
而且也是原始投资资金的积累时间问题，进Amazon几年下来的积攒应该会比在金融公司
里作IT的稍微高一点，到时候把这部分积累的当作投资基金，保持自己的工资水平转入
金融公司，我觉得这个会不会更好。
而且这个金融公司的是Training Program，很多人一起开始的，不能等我，所以只能放
弃。我现在已经决定去Amazon了，谢谢大家的意见，真是学到了不少 |

statistics may be good too, especially when you have expertise in SAS. I don
't think statistics is very tough but personally I just don't like number
crunching.
If you don't have the passion for the study field and only do it for future
job and greencard, the schooling time would be really painful to endure. My
two cents. |

and/or degree.

大风大浪，过程上也没有什么大喜大悲，但是左右相顾，放眼所及，尽是同僚惶惶，不
禁颇有感触，当年找工作的那番辛苦历历在目。于是下定决心，抱着被狗血喷头的危险
在此涂鸦一把。
本文所提到的看法大都是在下的个人体会，因此对他人来说，不见得就能包治百病，所
以看客自己拿捏分寸。而此文也只当抛砖引玉罢了。

401K这些应该和保险，假期这些在单独的文档里面吧，可以向hr要
属于benefits 一般不写在offer letter里面
H1B和绿卡貌似很少有写在纸面上的
不是很清楚。。。
如果是大公司
这些都是标准流程 应该没问题的
小公司就得问清楚了 |

如果是软工这一行，有卡的比没卡的工作机会多5，6倍以上（一个网站上每天十条
posting里面至少8条明确说明不sponsor），说不上有卡的就比没卡的更适合这份工作
。最搞笑的是，今天看到一个job posting 底下有一行“We require the candidates
to be US citizens or Greencard holders. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer
." |

各个部门情况不一，有内部推荐那是最好！

around 75k. Although you have Greencard, Postdoc, you don't have too much
working experience. At least, in Allstate, that's about the salary. I know
sb. with 8 year perience+MS degree can only get 90k in Allstate. |
