Any related job is OK for OPT purpose. And nursing job certainly has some
relationship with your major.
I did use my OPT to work in a chinese supermarket and I paid tax and got my
W-2 from the company. When I applied greencard, I did report this experience
as it was.

reduction to medicare/medicaid payments. Hospitals will have needs for more
residents because payments from medicare simply can't make ends meet.
