发帖数: 949 | 1 昨天看了review critique非常郁闷，所以才上来抱怨一下。如果你们的grant，给这么
一个恶心的人给你来一下，你们有什么感觉。
至于证据，大家也不是没有review过。其实每个人做的东西这个圈子里大家都知道，也
就是那么几个了。今天拿这个critique给我们的大老板看了看，说this guy doesn't
know the rule, 就算是你不想帮人， 给个good (which is not good) 也过得去啊，
也不用poor啊. 象这些private foundation funding 也就是一次过的review, 下次就
是明年了。还好现在还有其他funding support,继续写下一个吧。
不过这次也学到了个教训，就是不要先无谓做好人，resource is limited and try to
make yourself stand out。 |

支持，以后由学校出钱。
数是因为系里想扩张，又正好有方便的钱，必须在x年内花雕。一般create 这种
position时，会有一封dean/provost签名的commitment letter，承诺tenure后的事情。 |

reviewer #3的意见直接导致我杯具。我觉得他有些说法很不合理，要么是没看懂，要
么是我老板的冤家？
请问一般NSF grant如果被拒并对review有疑问的话，可以向投文章一样去argue，并争
取被接受吗？

NIH funding for a couple of years, but he is on chemotherapy right now, and
he is not quite sure how long his health status allows him working actively
in the lab.
I respect him even more when I know about this, but I am not sure whether I
was allowed to use this NIH grant if something bad happen to him. I could
work relatively independently with minimal supervision.
Does anybody know if the PI could no longer work for som |

求我必须购买美国航空公司的机票。美国的航空公司我一个一个都查过去了，买一张机
票正好把钱用光，可是我的地面交通、住宿就没有了着落。但是如果买欧洲的航空公司
的机票，就可以省下差不多一半的钱。
请问这种要求是老板的grant里面要求的么？有办法融通么？老板的钱必须专款专用，

connection problem (unavailability) or timing (unable to catch the scheduled
meeting/presentations with USA airlines).
Don't know if significant price difference is an acceptable argument, but
you can check with your institutional grant/contract officer who manages
that particular fund to see what you can do under this situation.
You may also discuss this situation with your boss. He or she may simple
give you a few hundred |

an excuse. There is a policy in your grant office that you can read. Be sure
to get approval before you book the ticket. Otherwise, you can't get
reimbursed.
