right now. Plant cell fermentation produce large amount of taxol now and
cheap. Not from total synthesis.
Cortisol synthesis was done in 30+ steps to add that hydroxy (oxygen on the
ring). 1 week after the JACS publication, A biology team did it in one step
by simply feeding the steroid backbone starting material to a bacteria. |

trend (time profile of pH, temperature etc.)
I am using continous process history view, which is basically a client of
Pi-data server. It works fine and of course its x-axis shows real time stamp.
My boss doesnt like the real timestamp though, coz it is not straightforward
to tell how long the process is runing now. Especially for fermentation
process, age (relative time) is prefered as x-axis. But there is difficuty to |

光环全开，指哪儿打哪儿。）
巴斯德于1822年生于法国（清道光二年）。父亲是个制革工人。早年理想是做个化学家
，不过念书成绩一般般。他的博士课题是研究酒石酸。当时人们发现酒石酸有两种形态
，一种可以产生偏振光，一种对通过的光线完全没有影响，所有的化学家都很困惑。当
巴斯德研究无偏振现象的酒石酸晶体时，他发现里面其实含有两种晶体。尽管差别非常
细微，还是逃不过他的眼睛，他用一把小镊子把两种晶体分开，分别溶解于水中，发现
一种能让光线右偏，另一种让光线左偏。就这样，巴斯德25岁时，开创了立体化学。他

我原计划今年7月份毕业，从去年Christmas开始找工，本来以为自己国内的本科、硕士
都是engineering学位了，虽然在这里所在系是science的，但老板是Chemical
Engineering的，而我所做的项目主要是optimization & experimental design方面的
方法开发（用Matlab编程），另外也有做一些fermentation实验。想着要在
pharmaceutical 或 biotechnology方面的公司找个process development或datamining
的工作，应该不成问题吧？
可谁知等我真正开始找工后，才发现事情原没有我原先想象的那么简单：找
processdevelopment的工作吧，人家嫌我没有industrial工作经验（以前一直想着早点
毕业，而且老板也成天催着赶快出东西，所以没有去做intern，现在后悔莫及），虽然
我自认为自己如今在process optimization方面较有感觉；可是利用我编程方面的技能
去找个与d |

method，并用它来实施 microbial culture process development(and/or
fermentation optimization)方面的实验。算来，断断续续地找工也有大半年了，可是
，目前为止，也只有3个公司的面试（其中一个是大公司，虽然经过了2轮的phone
interview并onsite了，但这个公司最后还是决定要了另一个experienced candidate；
至于另外那两个面试，与我所做的东西不大吻合，所以一个拒了我，另一个至今还没下
文）。
我知道自己没有经验，即便是想要通过HR那一关，拿到phone interview都很困难的。
因此，好想找一个pharmaceutical or biotechnology方面的head hunter，来帮助自己
争取被面试的机会。不知哪位有知道的，能否推荐一下？谢谢！！！ |

发帖数: 522 | 36 还有就是不光成药，就算是API，国内公司也没几个能真正打入到美国市场并获得信任
（有也都是做fermentation的）。海正勉强算一个吧，现在也在走下坡路，因为技术不
行，很多新的做不出来，只好给台湾的厂做中间体。这个是质量问题，技术力量和观念
问题的结合造成的。国内API公司很多都没有自己的科研力量，主要依靠研究所或者大
专院校来开发。而研究所大专院校那帮人选题基本都是看理论（销售数据啊什么的），
跟国外实际市场需求，什么东西能真正赚钱差好远。大家都一窝蜂上去做那些销售量大
的，却没有意识到那种commodity的药，根本没人能真正赚钱。
我个人一点都没觉得美国在药方面搞市场保护，因为便宜的药对美国人有切实的好处。
美国人只是比较在乎药的质量，而无论从名声还是实际情况，中国制造的药，起码目前
来说，还达不到美国要求的质量标准。药跟日常生活用品有本质的区别，你买的一个皮
包质量好不好，很多人并不那么关注，尤其是穷人，但是你吃的药好不好，却是一个致
命的问题，而这个问题是由非常严格到很官僚的FDA在把关。
现在有不少在美国专利药仿制药公司有过很多实际工作经验的人回去了，在努力改变这

培养基大都大都只能生产几克或者10几克菌体，看了药厂的已经至少可以达到上百克菌
