竞争激烈，压力大，但是效果不一定好。比如：
1）UC Berkeley 全校平均新生的SAT成绩低于2000.但是从Palo Alto High去的学生平
均成绩是2180. 换句话说一个学生同样的成绩在其它学区能去伯克利的，但是在Palo
Alto就不一定行了。这就像以前在北京能考上大学的分数在山东连大专都没戏。
2）前两年哈佛共录取了三个。并不多。
3）斯坦福录取的，除了“non-legacy and non-affiliated students”,也就是 a
handful。所谓Legacy就是校友和捐钱的大户，Affliated 就是教授子女。
4）好学生太多，老师给GPA太严。AP Test考5分的GPA可能还是D。成绩单拿出去难看。
老师给学生写的推荐信也很不给力。同样的学生在其它学校成绩单好看多了。老师推荐
信也更好。

网友们的这个接力分析很辛苦，很用力，是群体智慧的结晶。
真相很给力。
谣言的问题在于，制造和传播太简单了，而分析和治理相对成本要高的多，即使被戳破
也能过段时间重新拿出来继续骗，这个骗不了，还可以去骗另外一个，反正总能找到自
己的土壤。
所以眼下只能指望志愿者义工们出来，找些典型谣言文来戳破，警告那些智商较低，总
是习惯性上当受骗进而义愤填膺或跟着种族自虐的小笨蛋。从这个意义上来讲，故意埋
藏破绽地雷的钓鱼文，起到的其实就是疫苗免疫针之用。

，第三方机构香港CERResearch公司发布报告称，其送检了从中国市场购买的六个品牌
的婴幼儿配方奶粉，检测结果均不合格，雅培样品是最差的。

CERResearch从事中国市场的调查和研究，公司 CEO Graham Earnshaw(晏格文)昨
天接受记者采访时称，公司日前从上海和香港购买了六个品牌的婴幼儿配方奶粉，邮寄
到德国一个世界一流的专业检测食品安全的实验室进行成分检测和分析。
“目前，这些样品的检测数据都出来了，我们将这些数据提供给专家，由他们做出
判断”，晏格文表示，目前专家的态度是，检测的6个样品中，没有一个符合中国国家
标准。其中，雅培的样品被检测出是送检样品中最差的一个，完全不符合国际标准，也
未达中国新国标。

后、2007年跟着施一公“裸奔回国”成了清华大学医学院教授的颜宁为师父保驾，在科
学网博客上贴了一张大字报《方舟子是在哗众取宠，还是无间道？》，谩骂我对施一公
的批评是“无知”、“以讹传讹”、“自以为是”、“诛心”、“不失时机给自己作广
告”、“不懂英文”、“弱智”等等，不论是出于原来的师生关系，还是出于现在的共
同利益关系（颜宁声称在清华从事“重要疾病相关的膜蛋白的结构与功能研究”，那是
施一公担任首席科学家的新立973项目），都不难理解这种举动。最好玩的是要来指导

forecast. Do they ever diverge for the same model?
2. Just list the extreme values on top instead of asking people to look down
and find the extremes. For example, if the current value is negative, list
the negative extreme on top. If the current value is positive, list the
positive extreme on top. |
