The 99.3% efficient PFC on their paper is at 3.2 KW, which translate to over
22W of system loss. I did not see a efficiency vs. output current plot from
the paper, but my guess is at 20% load the efficiency will drop
significantly.
99.3% is pretty impressive number, however it would not be nearly as
shocking as 150W, 20%-100%, 97%+ efficiency, which translate to a 0.9W

Volumetric efficiency 是相对气缸体积的efficiency，不是燃烧efficiency。
Carnot Efficiency 跟engine温度有关系，engine温度是专门设计的，因为影响
可靠性，不是越高越好。所有的engine都能高温工作，就是能工作多久就完蛋的问题。
没有人靠turbo来专门升高空气温度的。事实上温度高，engine金属软化，engine本身
机械运动的效率降低。所以turbo engine可能用intercooler来降低intake空气温度。
至于燃油充分燃烧，这个是靠computer燃油喷射来控制的，算好的。turbo会让这个
计算更复杂。 |

this is exactly true for plugin-hybrids (serial hybrid), battery electrics (

于好像和那一贴的原主题叉开了，我还是在这里另开一贴，再深挖一下。
我最近越发觉的任何教育都是在把握equality 和 efficiency的问题。教师和父母及政
府在教育上关心的重点是一样的。政府好像基本是站在以保持equality的基础上提高
efficiency。让更多层次的人受教育，同时兼顾其中的投入产出比。这是理性的。原因
是可以获得更大范围选民支持（政客更关心短期效益）。我们为了获得好的evaluation
，也会选择这个方向。而且搞efficiency的产出要在很长时间以后再反映出来。我们课
堂里的efficiency可以理解为基于不同学生能力的差异有不同的投入（我们一般称为有
针对性，这样比较political correct;))。但如何搞一套机制调动不同层次学生的动力
好像是个难题。
我这个人比较liberal。也不强制出勤，你们上课要干嘛干嘛。可能因为以前也反感自
己老师管这管那的。交了学费就像买了电影票，想来就来吗。而且这也是觉得

Max out 401k and Roth，放了3个月生活费的定期存款应急，开了taxable的帐户。根
据我的年龄，打算把三个帐户总的比例设在stock比bond在7：3。
然后根据网上建议：
higher expected returns and tax-inefficient 放在roth里，在我理解就是放stocks
（？）
Lower expected returns and tax-inefficient放在401k里：在我理解就是放Hi-Yield
Bonds和stocks（？）
Roth和401k加起来stock和bond比例控制在7：3
Tax-efficient的放在taxable 帐户里：在我理解就是70% stock index funds 和30%
Tax-Exempt Bonds(?)

from November to April 30F to 45 F; 原装系统; 一个zone 空调。冬天和夏天最高
电费360，春秋120样子，就是差不多240刀是空调费用。
最近空调坏了，回家发现很热，lg下去查看，跳闸了，外面风扇压缩机都没声不转了，
合闸不行，一合上就立刻跳。然后关了空调等了一夜，第二天早上可以合闸，开了以后
ac的风扇转，但是出气不凉，来人给看说压缩机坏了。建议全换，因为空调已经很老了
。拿到报价，几个选择，都是lennox机器：
