罗地网般，把整个人类罩在其中。罪是天下第一号刽子手，它扼杀了人生的幸福，它将
人致死地而后快。人在罪面前似毫无抵抗的能力，是以世上古今中外的哲人皆承认罪的
权能，如罗马古哲学家辛尼加（Senaca）谓：“世人都有罪，或多或少”；另一罗马哲
人奥域（Ovid）言：“人不能逃避不犯罪”；希腊的苏格拉底感叹：“人晓得行善之重
要，然而行出来的却是恶”；我国俚语亦云：“世上只有二个善人，一名已逝世，另一

在所有保羅的著作中，貫徹了神擁有至高無上的地位這個概念。保羅用了不同
的字眼來強調這個觀念。
(I)預定(Predestination)(希臘文proorizo)：意思是「在事前定界限」(弗一
5﹔羅八29、30﹔林前二7)。整本新約，只提到六次預定，五次出現在保羅的書信。保
羅向信徒說明，救恩是源于亙古永遠，是出于神的預定。
(II)預知(Foreknowledge)(希臘文proginosko)：意思是「事前知道和留意，
并且加以重視」(羅八29，十一2)。預知「不單強調事前的知道，也強調預知者和被預

1. 引言
一個不同的假設，一個不同的進路，從哲學邏輯開始，還是從聖經直接詮釋？今天，我
們經常討論關於神的恩典究竟有多深、多遠。我們究竟能否為一個永恆，且全知、全能
的神定下祂能施恩典的範圍呢？一個原用多年的假設，帶來一個著名的恩典理論，推翻
了不少反對者的聲音，是否是必然的真理呢？當然，支持者必定為之推崇備摯。但是若
然在歷史中，不斷有人多次嘗試重新詮釋，或作補充，是否真有修改或重新理解的需要
呢？可是，支持者立場的強硬，帶來基督徒間對信仰理解的分化，已成為不能被否定的
事實。
這是甚麼呢？這就是加爾文的預定論（Predestination）。這恩典的理論帶來了著名的
「鬱金香（TULIP）」信條，亦即是加爾文主義的內容。救贖的次序亦因而重新被排列
：1有效預定的揀選、2追求認信的重生、3必被稱義的相信、4蒙神大恩的稱義、5必然

al idea that the sinner is incapable of believing the very gospel which offe
rs him forgiveness and salvation and yet he is condemned by God for failing
