这个READING COMPREHENSION啊是太太太重要了.我们家小朋友现在这个比较吃亏.这个
都怪我们在她的小时读书比较少,即使有时候一起读了也没有读完REVIEW一下提一些问
题啥的.为什么说阅读理解不强就吃亏呢,这个可影响到其他科目的,比如数学,SOCIAL
STUDIES等等.她的学校数学部分的PROBLEM SOLVING占分很高,好多时候她做错了不是因
为不会做,给她解释完什么意思后她就会做了.美国的小学数学是比较简单,教法也跟我
们小时侯老师教的不同,我觉得我们没必要在家里给孩子补数学,孩子一开窍,一点不是
问题.隔三差五教点小TRICK啥的我不反感,可以提高兴趣;有时候跟同学SHARE一下也增
加自信心;)
我感觉美国的小学基本是教小孩养成学习的好习惯和方法以及兴趣,初中以后再拼一点
不晚.
目前ACADAMIC方面我唯一要推的就是英文了还有中文了.

车保险分两种，liability和premium， 也就是所谓的半保和全保，liability只能用于
发生事故后赔付对方的损失（如果是你的过错的话），premium里面则包括了liability
,body injury,collision damage......多种保险，既可以赔付对方，也可以赔付自己
。如果自己有车的话而且买了保险的话，这个应该都知道。（有车没保险的，先去买了
保险再往下看吧。。。。。）明白了这个，下面的就不难理解了。
租车公司卖的保险有两种，一种是collision damage waiver（CDW），也就是说，出了
事故，无论谁的责任，你有无保险，你都不用负责你租的车的损伤，租车公司自己承担
责任。但是这个保险只能保租车公司的车的损伤，其他一概不管。

1, liability
责任险 这在所有州几乎都是必须买的 没有liability是不能上路的
意思就是发生车祸，是己方的责任时，用来赔付公共财产损失、对方车的损失和人身伤
害的
保单上通常会分两项 property和body injure
每项两个数字 分别是每个人（每辆车）赔的上限、每起事故赔的总上限 当然数字越
大保费越高
建议不要买太低的
在绝大多数州，只买liability就叫做半保
2，collision
发生车祸，是己方责任或责任人不明或逃窜时，用来赔自己的车
这项如果买，保费是比较贵的，和liability相当，或更高
这项有deductible,你要自己交deductible的钱，剩下由保险公司赔付，当然不超过你
买的上限
所以deductible越低越贵
3，comprehensive
意外险 包括被偷、被砸、被水淹 被人用钥匙划等等
注意：如果在停车场,被别的车蹭了，属于collision; 被别人砸了用钥匙划了，属于
comprehensive.

但是听说至少liability要选100k的，对于新手要也做全保。
大家觉得呢，全保都包括什么，我很想买的liberty mutual，它给我的报价包括
liability, uninsured motorist coverage, other than collision, collision,

11月30日，美国国防部正式公布了关于废除“不问不说”政策的调查报告，将被呈
交给国会和总统的这份报告指出，如果废除“不问不说”政策，即允许公开性倾向的同
性恋者在美国军队中服役，只是在短期内可能对军队产生某些有限的、零散的轻微影响
。本次调查还显示，70%的美国军人认为废除“不问不说”政策将不会对军队造成不利。
国防部的此次调查是为废除“不问不说”政策所作准备工作的一部分。已实行17年
的“不问不说”政策是基于国会通过的有关法案，该政策禁止公开性倾向的同性恋者在
美军中服役，军方不得询问军人的性倾向，军人也不得在部队中公开自己是同性恋者。
自从“不问不说”政策实行以来，已有数以万计的男、女军人因违反规定而遭到军队开
除。
总统奥巴马和国防部都支持废除“不问不说”政策，国会众议院也已经通过废除这
一政策的法案，但在美国军方仍有部分人对此存有疑虑和反对意见，国会中的一些共和
党议员也强烈反对废除“不问不说”，国防部就废除“不问不说”政策在整个军队中所
作的大规模调查正是在这一情况下实施。

if you hit something and damaged your own car, collision covers that.
you need to pay deductible for collison and comprehensive
are you sure on the comprehensive and non deductible part? usually
comprehensive goes with collision. if you don't buy collision, you can't
buy comprehensive. maybe you can... but it's not common
you should be able to buy uninsured motorist with collision. if somebody

liability只管你撞的车
comprehensive管你的车
deductible，你自己付一部分钱，剩下的保险公司全都报了。
transmission坏了，如果是撞的，对方的Liability会管。
如果是自己搞坏了，你又没有买comprehensive，那就没人能管了。 |
