wigner fellow（专门给新加入的博后的）在ORNL还是不错的荣誉
至于utk的adjunct position，大部分都是挂个名而已，没工资、没福利（
subcontractor除外）、没学生、不教课、没有办公室、没有信箱，搞不好连物理系
main office在那座楼都弄不清楚
ORNL其实对不涉及classified研究的staff（当然外国人基本上不可能在classified部
门任职）的outside activity还是很宽容的，毕竟是一个学术机构，但是前提是你别偷
偷摸摸，我知道有光明正大9个月国内，三个月ornl的兼职中国科学家（很多是放不下
这头的孩子）
至于ornl的网页，根本没人管，很多staff都没有网页，有的人走了都N年了还挂在那里 |

发帖数: 61 | 12 今天又打电话给fidelity，问这个dividend tax这个问题，答案和昨天的一样。目前
classify 是$1.x是long term gain. $6.x是short term gain, cash dividend $0.33.
他又说 ashr可以在明年二月份报税的时候可以re-classify. 所以在我们拿到这个
dividend 报税表之前有不确定性的。如果是capital gain的话除了cash dividend都可
以用loss 来offset，目前的答案也只能这样了。
我还是决定realize loss, 最差的差结果就是我realized loss，发现根本就不能
offset这个，那我只能以后慢慢用很多年了。

工资单上显示我交了14%的税，我咨询payroll，他们说是我不符合
申请tax treaty，所以要交很多税。
原因如下：

Assistant Controller， 没有书面的通知，现在准备H1B Extension，提供简历的时候
我就加了现在的职位是Assistant Controller。 律师说两个职位有本质区别，一个偏
向管理，DOL会Classify 为Treasurer and controller， 而Staff Accountant DOL
Classify为Accountants and Auditors. 公司必须要么拿绿卡的时候降职为Staff
Accountant，要么就是重新办PERM。
请问律师说的拿绿卡的时候降职为Staff Accountant是指在提交485申请表上的填写的
职位吗还是EVL的时候公司的说明？如果我485 提交180天后换了工作的话，是不是也必
须找Staff Accountant的职位了？ Senior也不行？
另外，现在提交H1B Extension的时候如果改为Assistant Controller会不会比较麻烦
