rather pay attention to the shot you are able to do now, which you weren't
before. Generally you have to spend over 10 hour of practice on a single
shot to see some difference in a match. Of course, some are better in
learning than others.

Once a race car instructor told me that the best cornering is when you just
about to loose it. To do that, you have over come the fear that you might
loose it. When you get to the point when you and the car are one, both you
and car flow together, that's it. Took awhile to figure it out what it means.
Serving is the same. Everyone is different and you must not fight the flow
of the motion whatever it means to your style.You have to 悟.

a deep slump right now, luck wise.
I said before when you feel you are in a streak of bad luck, the best way to
go is to quit playing for awhile instead of keeping playing and hope it
will turn around. You probably on tilt anyway and keep playing may make you
make more technical mistakes. That is my advice.
I am an amateur here, no shame to admit it. So losing $300-$400 one session

too much fun at times. we have a "high stacks" table at our home games
where the pot runs to $30-$50 pre flop and often ends up with $1000 pot. the
players at that table just love to gamble and tons of action all the time.
Goes all in with 27 off suite preflop or calling all in with Q4 off suite
are considered the usual there. exciting and fun and just too much. any
tips on how to play against those type of players? |

AQ. didn't know that i should fold it at early stage.
For awhile, I steal every blind I could at cash games and tried a bit on
defending the blinds. but kind got tired of it. :) I will pick it up
again. and practice some postflop play with those hands.

just too busy with my regular group. both groups are just a hobby due to my
love for event planning. And haven't been able to attend many home games
so I'm really falling behind in the group. :( need lots and lots of
practice in poker to improve.

He was leaking and only has 20K left (down from 220K). Somewhere
half a hours later, he went up to 190K and keep beating out Luukie.
And at the other table.
Later DrugOrMe hopped in ( I went to sleep) and Gus left with decent
pot at both table (400+K and 300K+). Bet DrupOrMe lost some to Gus.

说起Hog's head不知道多少人想过这个名字是什么意思。
显然这个词是猪头🐷的意思。
Hogshead还是一个液体，特别是酒的单位，一个Hogshead相当于大约一桶半葡萄酒或者
两桶啤酒，如果换算成升的话……和其他传统英国单位一样复杂……就不提了。
在莎士比亚的henry IV里面有一个Hogshead tavern。
不知道还有没有人记得Hog's head inn所在的hog's meade小镇在苏格兰的morray。
如果按照苏格兰的Clann（家族）来划分的话，大致在Clann Innes （Innes家族）的地
皮上。

听coalpilerd贴的《You Raise Me Up》，想起以前讨论过福音歌、黑人歌。考古找到
不少歌，就单独开个帖。
我第一次听的You Raise Me Up是Westlife的版本，想当然地以为是教会福音歌。
karoun说不是，福音音乐来源于黑人音乐，而You Raise Me Up是爱尔兰民歌。歌词里
的在我受挫、低落时陪伴、支持我的你，既可以指世俗的父母、爱人，也可以指宗教的
上帝、神灵。宗教场合也会唱这首歌，算是从世俗走入教堂的例子吧。
