按照公司的指南，在config VPN(PPTP) 的时候，输入了server address, account
name & password，但是总
是"authentication failed"。打电话给IT support，确认了server, account info 都
是正确无误的，但是还是不行，而且IT
在那边看不见我的failed attempts，server上面一点纪录都没有。
server肯定是对的，我曾经尝试改变一两个字母，error 就是"server not found"，所
以这个应该是authentication的问
题，而不是server name有误。但是为什么那边收不到呢？
很奇怪啊，不知道资深果粉们有没有判断？ 是不是laptop上面有什么security
setting要改？谢谢大家！ |

locked. It is because some gatekeeper inside the phone prevent the phone
from being used in other carriers. Mostly it can't pass some standard
security authentication. Basically it is a phone side limitation. In
this case, it sounds like this authentication can be passed through
network update. I am not aware of this kind of things exist before.

Although you can put a "password" field (
type='password'>) on your page, you need an executable
program to help you authenticate the user login and
password. Definitely you need to learn more than just HTML.
Authentication can be done by your webserver/OS such as
IIS/NT, or user program w/database or file, such as CGI,
ASP, JSP. With pure HTML you can almost do nothing for a
website.

Depends which web server you are using, if you are using IIS, you can turn off
"anonymous" access (default is on) and use either "basic authentication" (for
Netscape/Mozilla users) or "NT authentication". If you are using Apache, you
need add ".htaccess" to the directory you want to protect, and you also need
to create a password file using "htpasswd" (check apache manual). |

I have a simple web application which requires Forms authentication.
My problem is when a user logs out, by pressing Back button in IE,
the former page, which requires a proper authentication, will be shown.
How to prevent this?
Have tried to put int the Page_Load method the following:
Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.NoCache);
but it doesn't work.
Application is configured to be cookieless.

requests. It's not really used to "identifies the user".
Authentication uses another type of cookie that contains a "ticket". An
