Reason:
1. extremely busy all year long, especially in KPMG, so she doesn't have to
date you in year 1 associate.
2. auditors are kind of picky, they are stressful in the middle of the
cilents and engagement. she won't let you happy if she is not happy
3. auditors frequently travel in different client sites, you can't see her
whole week sometime.
Recommend: Date a Tax girl. |

any alternative audit procedures to address the problem. Practically,
auditor will talk with audit committee and board of director regarding the
problem. If no one is willing to fix the problem, "error may become fraud",
management is required to report "fraud/illegal acts" to SEC. If not,
auditor is required to do so. In additions, management is required to
disclose "the disagreement with auditor" in 10-K, 10-Q or 8-K etc |

business, understanding internal control, preliminary analytical procedures
, assess IR, CR, DR (detection risk), fraud risk.
请教的问题:
1.如果是一个大的engagement, 一个大的audit team来做整个case，整个audit
planning一般是由senior auditor来做，associates只需要完成audit planning后面的
substantive test，test of internal control etc.吗？
2.谁assess IR, CR, DR, fraud risk?是senior auditor一个人?还是整个team聚在一
起讨论, 搞brainstorming, senior auditor再综合大家的意见作出评估呢？

MIS外加7年IT工作经验，后来position被取消了。我今年春季找了份full-time
accounting job,工作的level还比较高，是public company,所以起薪也很好。 现在
PWC的又过来找我，说有个entry level IT auditor的工作，问我是不是还感兴趣。我
有个同学在那边，我知道IT auditor起薪大概5万2的样子，不如我现在的好，而且据说
干得非常累。我快35了，还有个三岁多的孩子，而且同时在准备CPA考试，已经过了一
门，但准备下面三门也快快考掉。现在都已经觉得每天很累了，不知道是不是应该尝试
一下这个新的机会？四大适合我们这个年纪的人去拼吗？ |

那里的工作情况，不知道是否要接受这个OFFER。一个是我不了解AUDITOR是不是非常的
难做。不过这份工作是INTERNAL AUDITOR不需要出差。
而我主要为难的原因是我现在刚开始工作半年，目前在某市政府做BUDGET ASSISTANT，
工作轻松，老板人还可以，但是好像觉得学不到太多的东西，跟ACCT好像也没有什么太
多的关联。
请有经验的前辈帮忙出出主意吧，两份工作那个对于将来的发展好一点呢？谢谢大家 |

人家说的是goodwill本来audtior说要write off 20%. 最后CFO觉得write off 100%.
然后audtior也认可了.
20%和100%差的可不是一点点. 这个说明什么? 说明auditor的professional judgement
有问题了. 因为如果的确要write off 100%, 为什么adutior当初不提出来? 而只是说
要write off 20%?
如果只是需要20%,那么auditor不是应该对CFO说不需要write off 100%嘛?
auditor的态度就是两个数字都可以接受,这个才是joke呢. |

he was fired by the company. As he is still in I-140 stage, he need to find
a job asap to keep his immigration status. What makes me really sad is I
knew this might just be the beginning.
This mentee had been in accounting for a while, first in regional firm (top
100 at least) as auditors and then work as internal auditors in big

I think that person who answered your question was correct in regard to your
situation, auditor only assists preparation of the footnote on behave of
management for issuers. and by that, it doesn't mean auditor do everything
for them, it is the management furnish info and auditor rephrase it. and
management yes, is to take ultimate responsibility if things would go wrong. |

时後。
现在想想当时自己还是很勇敢。 当天被lay off的时候，忍住悲痛，勇敢的走进
Partner的办公室，跟他们哭诉如果现在被layoff会马上遣返回国。希望他们能把我放
上non-pay leave.本来想要三个月，可是HR只能给一个月。 死中求活，总算有了两个
月的时间。其实自己心里也知道到时候可能需要recent paycheck,这个问题比较难解决
。但是当时顾及不了那么多了，没有non-pay leave基本就是4.8号就要回国了。 老板
都很nice,这也是几十个人的小公司的好处，如果和大老板平时关系比较好，很多事情
可以work around.虽然不能继续雇佣我，但是也帮了我很多忙。
然后就开始在家辛苦的投简历，我本科是accounting,研究生是MBT@USC,之前在另外一
个公司做financial accountant做了一年，用的OPT,OPT到期因为不给办H1B,当时很费
力的找到了现在的CPA公司自己掏钱办的H1B。我在这个公司工作了大概有10个月是

一个监狱或者小社会.这个客户是我们FIRM AUDITOR们不太喜欢的.
刚进厂的工人在操场上军训.工人们住宿舍,每天晚上要查房.出入厂门有限制,保安连我
们AUDITOR的电脑包和行李要搜,我们吵了一大架,不让搜身.因为我去AUDIT的时候刚好
NOKIA要出的新款手机被人偷偷的带出厂.网上说保安权利很大,这个我还是赞同的.经常
看到他们对工人呼来喝去.
工人基本在饭堂吃饭,还有人专门维持秩序的.吃饭是免费的,你可以想象质量.
他们的管理层基本上都是从台湾过来的,台湾人呵呵,你们知道的拉.
当时财务的经理就是台湾EY过来的,此人比较的MEAN,经常在我们工作的办公室门上贴小
纸条:请注意用电,请不要大声讲话,请保证地面的清洁.... 他经常投诉说我们浪费他
们的纸和打印墨.
他们的办公条件不说了,放LAPTOP摇摇的,凳子也是,我每次做的时候都小心.
工人上班时间很长工资好底,财务人员加班好长,听说是没有钱的,其实他们公司招的人素质还不

小手术，整个看病10小时左右，但医院说我除去了急诊室还住了2天院。
我花了2年多和他们各个部门谈，亲自跑去几次，电话无数，还有律师的帮忙。去年底
才同意派一 nurse auditor 核对我病例，减掉了那2天费用，寄了我新的itemized
statement(具体各费用清单），但就此卡住了。
这nurse auditor 说具体哪天他寄出了那statement，他不管claim。billing office
说他不发claim, 只管按保险公司算出的数向我要钱。unitedhealthcare 保险公司说没
新claim收到。究竟谁发claim呀？我要医院administration office 确认发出了claim,
结果现在哪个部门都不理我，都把我转到billing office 现在已是debt collector了.
上月我打了Anti-fraud hotline，和他们说医院不发更改后的claim, 他们说我可以传
真新的intemized sta |

发帖数: 2013 | 36 上周刚带老爸在local chase branch开的户。要护照，visa 的种类也有限制，至少B1/
B2 是可以的，还要有可以证明长居住地地址的原件，俺爹偏巧带了国内的身份证，俺
爹没有美国国内的任何信件或帐单。事实上美国的地址是不需要的。俺给了banker我的
地址，最后又给改成俺爹的国内地址了，说是系统要常住地址。所以护照，签证，和国

B2 是可以的，还要有可以证明长居住地地址的原件，俺爹偏巧带了国内的身份证，俺
爹没有美国国内的任何信件或帐单。事实上美国的地址是不需要的。俺给了banker我的
地址，最后又给改成俺爹的国内地址了，说是系统要常住地址。所以护照，签证，和国

我过去也对xin比较怀疑，但xin宣布了quartly dividend，按照目前价格是5%哦，并且
已经发了一次了，发季度分红了，我觉的再质疑xin的真实性就没什么道理了，人家挣
的钱都发了，还叫人家怎么表明真心？
xin在大陆售房这个我去搜房网仔细看过，销售的还是不错的，业主反映基本比较积极
，大家评论鑫苑的房子漂亮。
然后就是auditor,鑫苑的auditor是安永，4大之一
当然主要风险就是大陆房市，这个就是仁者见仁了，要是房市垮掉，鑫苑自然够呛。要
是房市维持，鑫苑每年赚钱稳定，股价慢慢会上去的。我自己估计，中国人寿命延长，
老人的房子10年内不会大量空出来，新一代的年轻人结婚工作都要买房，现在轮到90后
了，房市的买方市场还是维持相对强劲的。
我是屯了15000股xin,白日梦等着翻倍哪，呵呵 |

SEC又不能查在中国的audit firm的文件。换句话来说，是SEC管不了，证监会不管（因
为没在中国上市嘛）
去年sino forest出事的时候，SEC和PCAOB就跟中国证监会提出，要查直接中国公司的
audit文件，到现在还没达成agreement
前段时间SEC要调查一家上海公司，Deloitte说根据中国法律，不能给SEC提供audit文
件。SEC早就不高兴了，估计陆陆续续还要搞一些中国公司。水很深的，最好不要碰中
国公司的股票。
去年出事的sino forest auditor是E&Y，但是账目也是不清不楚的，现在已经申请破产
保护了

好些fund和咨询公司看到这些漏洞，基本上做几个月的调查，总能查出很多问题，有些
公司卖调查报告赚钱，有些直接short。这也是SEC喜闻乐见的 |
