别看这个工资不高，下一个就上去了，SA是没啥前途的，干到老也就是
LEAD SA，和ARCHITECT不是一个级别的。

普通或者senior manager. architect转到management track是senior manager或者
director.
从principal跳到architect这个门槛不容易。 我觉得卡住的人大于80%. |

Architect有点像搭积木，怎么搭得好还是很有学问的。
可是如果你对各类子模块(CPU,DSP,Bus system, multimedia system)
都没什么sense的话是不可能做一个好的Architect的。 |

intel了，对老中不友好）这些做CPU组的里头的Architect一般是多少年工作经验才能
进去的啊？是不是最好有PHD呢？还有，他们是不是本来就是从architect做起的，还是

要求好像对各种东西（电子电路、信号处理、材料、光学、力学、物理、统计、数学什
么的）都要懂一些，想想这些年混千老倒是什么都干过一点，就投了。然后前两天HR跟
我安排下周一早上电面，是公司的Senior director of engineering。
想好好准备一下吧，又觉着无从下手，主要搞不清这个system architect到底是干什么
的，也不知道该准备啥。希望大家提提意见建议哈。

。这种题没有标准答案的，大家见仁见智。思路比答案重要。刚毕业的童鞋们可能这个
稍微困难些。
某投资银行，要建立向用户推荐相关信息的系统。用户是管理各种基金的基金经理。数
量大概几百一千人。
当前信息包括三个来源：公司内部研究报告，外部研究报告，会议日程安排。内部研究
报告是普通文件结构，可以理解成类似于word文件格式，有文字有图有排版。外部研究
文件是存在FTP server上的，需要系统自己去取。会议日程安排是存在数据库里的，需
要一个数据库接口。数据量大概是每天1000篇文件，要挑出很少的一小部分（十个八个
？）推荐给用户。注意当前信息三个来源，将来可能会增加，所以系统需要scalable.
来源于用户的信息有两种，一个是显性的，用户到某定制页面上去设置自己感兴趣的东
西，比如科技股，比如进出口数据，等等。另一个是隐性的，每个用户有不同的投资模
式（比如大公司，小公司，海外投资等等）和不同的基金holding（比如微软，苹果，

。这是他第二次来美国工作，跟我一样在多个国家打过工。
我在别的国家和他共过事。人是好人，我们天天一起吃饭遛弯。可是，尼玛，他可是一
行code都写不出来啊。在我们原来工作的地方，senior software engineer写一行sql
有三个错是常态，然而，就这样，该烙印也差的离群。顶着software engineer的头衔
，光卖嘴皮子一行code也不写。看在他请我吃咖喱的份上有时候我也帮帮他，然而没过
多久他还是被manage out了。此后他干过pm， se，干啥啥不行（因为他单干，那个国
家印度老板不多）。
我们原来呆的地方，面试只要聊闲天，所以他能找到码工的工作一点也不奇怪。可是，
美国，可是要white board programming的啊！！随便问一个问题，他怎么会不露馅？
我自己也在印度软件外包干过，同事之间互相包庇混日子真的是舒服。然而，客户找一
个进来，多少还是要面试的吧？难道美国投行对ICC更信任？
